Of course she was. The difference between Stone and Casino, and Robbie and Wolf, all by itself tells you how far Scorcese has fallen. There's next to nothing here.

"Gasps of shock"? Why?

I don't have a problem with that aspect of it, at all. I do have a problem with the film's not working on that level, except occasionally. Was there really no one around with the ability or temerity to tell the star and star director that the attempts at slapstick in the scenes following from Belfort and Donnie doing

"We identify with him as protagonist but all his actions are distancing
mistakes, again and again until he punches his wife in the stomach."

"I'm not completely sold on why the Jordan is a villain."

Nice to see you're still posting here, Mrs. Belfort.

"Strong family values and a Christian work ethic is what kept "capitalism" in check."

Genuinely curious as to how a film reviewer can err this badly with his first sentence:

Well, all characterizations in Godzilla were hammered absolutely flat, so I guess Edwards is a good fit with Lucasfilm. Perhaps he'd be better suited to doing a film on magic? After all, if you can make Elizabeth Olsen and Bryan Cranston disappear…

"What’s interesting about Friday Night Lights’ foray into the wide
world of slut-shaming, specifically as it pertains to the virgin/whore
complex, is that it does so by staying squarely rooted in the reality of
Texas."

Was she? I could only stand a few eps of AH, and couldn't figure out why you'd have Lila Garrity in your cast and not put her in skimpy and next to no clothing as often as possible. Yet one more failing of a show that aspired to mediocrity and often fell short.

Yeah, Headey was actually a little better, though Hamilton was just dandy in both films. I liked the way Headey would bite off her lines and then nod very subtly. It was a peculiar affectation, but it worked well for her character. Oh, and she's gorgeous. So she wins.

It probably cuts to the chase in about 80% of relationship conversations.

Terminator-like entities aren't likely to be a significant problem. It's the race to create the first human-level intelligence through strong AI that's likely to be the significant problem. You can eventually put robots back in the boxes they were shipped in, but a human level intelligence for which the pace of

Favreau's a bloated wreck now. And that's just his acting. Next!

Did About A Boy improve? Loved the movie, but hated, hated, hated, hated the pilot. It was beneath contempt.

Kal Penn? In anything? That can't be write.

Did we get behind?

"Then we have Madam Secretary, from Barbara Hall, which is about
a “maverick” female Secretary of State and stars Tea Leoni and Tim Daly.
It sort of feels like CBS noticed The Good Wife isn’t getting any younger and wanted to make a play for that sort of audience again."

Son, if you can't tell the difference between getting punched and getting laid, we probably can't help you here.
