"Chris O'Dowd as muscle"?

What a shame he didn't punch her in the face after she punched him in the face twice, at the beginning of episode two.

Ah, but Nietzsche, to be Nietzsche, had to rely on a wholly false view of time, one in which the perceiver can experience his own death. He doesn’t, of course. He can‘t. Nor can or will you experience your own death, you can only imagine it—you can only torment yourself with the false and “horrifying” vision of a

Yeah. No surprise there.

Speaking of some bother down below about white male privilege….it's worth noting that in 10 critical quality-of-life areas, women in the West are doing better than men, often far better, in 9 of them:

I wish I could agree, but when I look at One Santa Fe and see this…

As for avoiding some of the pitfalls of McMansions, on the technical side there's superinsulating with operable shutters and energy recovery ventilators. That solves the heating and cooling issues, adding 5-7% to the overall cost but being cheaper from the very start by making mortgage payment + energy costs lower

One problem with that is, rough concrete takes just as much work to get as smooth concrete.

Or the Architecture and Planning building at Yale. What joke that thing is. And not a good joke.

C'mon, gang. Incredible Hulk was as good or better than Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, Captain America 1, Thor 1, and Thor 2. It's a mid-level Marvel outing, with a very solid cast, an excellent lead giving his all, a good script, good fx.

"Think about it this way: The subtext with Cersei has been that, because she's a woman, she hasn't been afforded the same opportunities her twin brother has had."

Yeah, well, you're dealing with someone who thinks Tyrion fell out of love with Shae, and that Shae turned on Tyrion at the trial because she 'went back to being a cheap lying whore.'

"No, I don't think so. I don't see Margaery as any match for Cersei under the best of circumstances."

It's remarkable that 24 people (and counting) can see a show that simply isn't there. Tyrion hurt Shae so badly because she wouldn't leave and it was the only way to get her to leave. Had she stayed she would have been murdered.

It's "never kill off your best actor."

So someone says something derogatory about how stereotypical women behave in the movies and avclub commentators fall all over each other to climb on their soapboxes? Surprise.

Add to that, if opaque, uninteresting, one-dimensional characters are your thing, with long, drawn out reveals because 1D characters only have one secret to give up, this is perfection.

SPOILERS BELOW!! (I'm doing this because i want to wholeheartedly support the decision of future AVClub readers to also not watch the movie.

Based on Into the Woods I will hereafter not watch anything this director makes. What a misfire!

Gfff. Maybe just barely a C+ until we got five yards from the finish line, at which point it becomes a loopy, generous "D".
