One of his former close friends went on a Twitter rant basically saying Kanye needs to be medicated and that he’s out of control and has lost his mind a while back. I guess he doesn’t listen to anyone’s council.

Yeah, like Jason Kipnis would know.
Some stans are floating a a theory that he did this to provoke a lawsuit that wants to lose. The idea being that if he can’t get away with this based on laws around public figures, him and other folks will have a real precedent to topple the paparazzi
I love Ben Affleck. I don’t care if he gets hammered.
go away, no one is going to provide you with spank material for your bad sex fetish
You know what ruined things from my childhood? That my favorite childhood books are racist as fuck, that Kirk Cameron grew up to be well himself, and that Bill Cosby is a rapist.
White privilege
She would totally have used Yzma in kitten form for her avatar.
This is why people hate PETA.
It means he gets emotional at movies. And is hoping no one will notice his real tears if they’re used to always seeing a tear drop hanging off of his eye.
It likely means that he lost someone (usually due to criminal activity, but not always) or some get it to signify that they’ve spent time in prison. It’s just for when people have killed someone. Lil Wayne has tear drop tattoos. He has said in interviews it’s to represent two family members he lost.
It means his chances at getting any sort of decent job (aside from modeling, of course) are somewhat dampened by that tear.
Others, not so gifted in the looks department, may just continue to rot in prison.
So many people with so little knowledge of music, besides “I like this. That sucks.” It is an indisputable fact, that nearly all music made in America (and of lot of British music, too) owes a tremendous debt to black people in the South, ca. 1900. However, beyond that, music grows and changes. As soon as something…
If I had to GUESS, I’d say when black artists have the same shot at doing well with the same type of music as white artists, all other things being equal (like talent). I think “appropriation” is totally the wrong word for what this article is trying to express, which is that white artists with less talent than black…
Serious question, if you grew up with black music being part of your culture (like 85% of Americans), at what point does it stop being cultural appropriation... especially in the context of the American melting pot.
So, the crux of your argument is that if the music is “bad” (as judged by you and/or others...) then the artist is not allowed to draw from black influences or explore black sound... because it’s appropriating black culture to sell “bad music”
Look I get this is a thing, I get that artists do this, but this just feels like lets pick on Trainor more than anything. As a non American she just sounds like any other American singing. Now as an Aussie I will say Iggy is appropriating that accent like it’s going out of style, but then Madonna sang with a British…
As a white male who isn’t good at anything or very smart, this guy proves that I’m really underachieving in life.
Listen, and understand! Preston Garvey is out there! He can’t be bargained with. He can’t be reasoned with. He doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And he absolutely will not stop, ever, until you help that settlement!
