Every 3D representation of characters from Steven Universe wind up looking like nightmares.

We can do more than one thing, much like you surely don’t think we should ignore thefts after they’ve occurred and propose we only attack the socioeconomic or mental problems that lead to people committing theft in the first place.

Nah, brah. It started right here:

You’re eliding the majority of my reply (wherein I address the idea that, “this never stops—when will you let us speak?”) in favor of the portions that best serve your preferred narrative.

Something, something, turnabout, something, fair play?  Or maybe deal with the totality of what I said, rather than the bits you

“...people who mean to do harm, will find a way to use words to do harm.”

Right. And it’s our responsibility as a civil society to shut them down when they do so. This is one example of that happening. You’re 100%, the words WILL change over time, OTHER words will be used... it’s our job as a modern society to educate

First off, “my” goals are not a thing I’ve divulged here. Kindly take that strawman and put it back in its field before you attract crows.

Secondly, your assertion here monumentally oversimplifies the problem in service of driving a poorly-supported point (it is, in other words, sophistry).

Hate speech only becomes hate

moE’s the sort of dude that hits rock bottom and thinks, “I wonder if there’s oil down further.”

“I use the word ‘faggot’ to call people ‘retards,’”

While certainty artspeak, what I read that as the artist looking at the screen as a necessary ‘barrier’ in between the player and the console. The ‘game’ is in a box, below the screen and thus not actually the thing that is being interacted with. Here, he eliminates one ‘barrier’ while maintaining another - that of

Uh, if you found yourself shooting waves of bullet sponges like the old Uncharted games, you were doing something wrong.

Ellie’s story in this game, and really the story of survival in the world of The Last of Us, is really going to be about her killing the shit out of all the enemies. There might be encounters where you can stealth your way through some sections, but in order for the story to work you’re definitely gonna have to kill

You don’t have to look forward to it. Just go to the gamefaqs board; they are already hitting every excuse in the book! And of course, crying and whining about how they are not going to buy the game while they are at it.

The games main enemies are not people actually. Seems you forget about the clickers, they are purposefully not shown. I doubt people will be the main villains and will ACTUALLY be used in a way that is exactly how Druckman said it is. That is exactly what Last of Us one did. The characters would even react to

Don’t go to gamefaqs, the whole first page is like 95% topics about how “horrible” it is that Ellie is a lesbian.

The procreation argument is amusing particularly given the human race’s propensity to grow exponentially even though there are and have been gay people all along. A couple only has to have three kids to grow the population, and for a lot of people, three kids ain’t nothin’. My mother-in-law is one of eleven. I’m one

I mean did you want her to shout “I’m gay!” the moment she appeared in the first game? Sexuality is a spectrum and we should be discarding with the idea that everyone is straight until stated otherwise.

If you played only the main game and did not play the DLC, then yes, it does seem out of the blue. Not everyone played the DLC or payed attention to the reviews or comments when it came out. I personally did not play the DLC (never buy them) but I was at least aware of the content of the DLC.

I literally just dealt with this with one of my friends (Otaku incel dude) who commented how they found the lesbian kiss “forced”.

Dissonance works. Either the kiss or the disemboweling from the demo would be impactful enough on their own. Together? The two extremes make the game greater than the sum of its parts. Not totally novel, but I remain happy that I bought a PS4 Pro after seeing the demo.
