Yes, 924s and basic 944s existed just for the Porsche badge, and not much else.
The Miata is also considerably lighter, and if you look up stock dynos for both vehicles, even an older NC Miata puts out a decent bit more torque at 4k RPM than the same displacement, gutless motor in the twins.
F&F has ruined a whole generation....
I suggest we write the company to show us just that, for a video we can enjoy! I’ll bring the popcorn.
Ah, I see, you just dislike 4 pots. That’s fine, but I think you’re limiting yourself. I have one (which I stated before) and it’s extremely fun, so much so in fact that I’d choose to drive it over some of my other vehicles if I didn’t limit myself. I don’t want it to have a 200k miles in just a few years.
Nah, those came pre-ruined from the factory with a gutless motor.
You could, but neither is it a small car, nor a particularly light-weight one, coming in around 3,400lbs. There’s also the fact that most have been beat to hell. Nor would it be in any great condition, “pimped out” or no. In fact, it being “pimped out” means it was probably used and abused like a crack whore.
Actually, it would probably destroy most AWD systems.
For occasional weekend duty, with no upgrades to output? No, the Turbo/Turbo S and S2 models came with some pretty good brakes, so it really isn’t necessary unless you plan to get serious.
That is because of trucks. More people own and drive trucks, and so today every car on the road is heavier, with higher belt lines, smaller glass, etc. and et. al.
While true, the S2 models are still pretty comparable to modern cars, especially the FRS/BRZ. Roughly the same weight, same horsepower, near identical 0-60, and both have wonderful dynamics, though the S2 puts down considerably more torque.
They really aren’t that bad, aside from a few common issues. A lot of the problem comes from people who buy one expecting it to be as reliable as a brand new Toyota, and have no general automotive knowledge, nor any idea of the common problems to look for.
I see, yes I was confused, my apologies.
I’ve always wondered why that is. I understand that two strokes have their advantages in being lighter and consuming less fuel for the output, but 4 stroke engines have their advantages, too.
And if found false? What then?
It’s as fugly as any Astrovan, Windstar, Caravan, Odyssey, or Sienna ever built.
