The $38,000 HMI is that way because the entire supply chain for the electronics involved in the HMI is generally controlled and security screened. Not really that bad of a price tag when you think about the HMI as a possible trojan/phone home device horse into a multi-billion dollar nuclear missile delivery system.

It’s a security issue. One controllers can use Bluetooth to connect to PC’s and the old 360's don’t. The old controllers use IR and USB. SO having the Bluetooth may be an OPSEC issue.

It matters for why they’re using 360 controllers instead of One controllers. The One controllers likely can’t connect properly.
