I would pay top dollar for a miniaturized version that could transport my neighbor’s Pomeranian several states eastward.

They could make a fortune selling handcrafted missiles on Etsy.

If they don’t have the tech an facilities today, we can estimate how long it will take to build new infrastructure. And that can move quickly because they will be building to accommodate a specific design that they know works rather than building an R&D facility that needs to do iterative testing.

Gee whiz, how ever could a country with a sizable population of Russian Nationalists and involved in recent fuckery by Putin’s armed forces and intelligence wings have not known this might have come from its own backyard? I’m shocked. SHOCKED. /s

Actually, these were explosive shells, packed with black powder, that’s why the Army had to dispose of them.

4 melted down reactors

Earlier this year a construction company preparing a plot of land here in Pittsburgh for an apartment complex and found almost seven hundred Civil War-era cannonballs. Apparently they were left when the Allegheny Arsenal was torn down, and the Army was eventually brought in to help remove and dispose of them.

Proves that this specific style of reactor, when hit with a near record-setting earthquake and tsunami, is unsafe. There are (and have always been) reactor models that by design are safeguarded against meltdown, and it’s an unfortunate matter of history that led to water-cooled reactors becoming the default. You

Power generation in any form is inherently unsafe. So is the internet. What exactly is your point here?

Not the fact all of this proves nuclear technology is inherently unsafe and that the US is litered with them.

They still uncover WW2 bombs in Europe and once in a while in London. One famous one was a WW2 Grand bomb that was used as a “gate guard” for Scampton. It has been there since WW2. When they went to move it in the 50's to widen a road, they couldn’t lift it. It was discovered to be still filled with explosives.

I don’t know why any country wants to host the Olympics these days, best case scenario it’s a huge cost that you might see recouped after several years of tourism and reusing the new facilities, worst case scenario is this, a post-apocalyptic hellscape with increased crime all around.

(Oh, and pay no attention to the amazing rack behind John Lovitz, cause...you know tits! Wouldn’t want to shock you or anything and give you a stroke)

my fantasy is you going & fucking yourself

LOL. Good story. Or you could have a partner like mine, who helped initiate a threesome and suddenly realized she was a lesbian. Made the divorce pretty clean, though.

Sex is a part of life, last time I checked.

Any smart Mets fan couldn’t give two shits about trading Bruce (or Duda) to the Yankees - as long as we got something worthwhile back. The Mets didn’t avoid trading with the Yankees to spare their fans, they did it because they are cheap fucks with no sense of how to build a team for the long term. And I’m a die-hard

Seriously. I like Jay Bruce. He was our best offensive player behind Conforto this season. But after what I’ve witnessed in my years on this planet, seeing Bruce in pinstripes wouldn’t even register as a blip on my radar at this point.

Because it is a cartoon not supported by facts

Jobs are created by demand. So do poor people buy the $50,000 new SUVs being churned out by Detroit? Do poor people buy new $1,000,000 homes? Do poor people go on vacations, fly on airlines, visit theme parks, go to the symphony, eat at fancy restaurants, or use the products or create the demand for any number of
