FFG - Guided Missile Fast Frigate
FFG - Guided Missile Fast Frigate
Area AAW, perhaps, but not AAW for a battle group. They have CEC, but no NIFCCA, plus they can currently only utilize the SM-2, not the SM-6. Further, the SM-3 is used for BMD, not the SM-6. They also don’t carry enough missiles to be effective AAW platforms, and since their primary role is strike and NGS, their…
The Zumwalt-class wasn’t designed to be a technology demonstrator with an abbreviated build list, it was truncated because of cost and inability to meet mission needs.
Except for the fact that the Zumwalt can’t adequately defend herself against incoming air and BMD attacks. Hence, a huge reason we’re building more and better Burkes.
And you need a Burke, because these things are worth dick for AAW and BMD.
Then all you need is a set of axle-back mufflers. Check out the Roush or Corsa systems. They sound fantastic, and since you’re in NYC, will maintain your emissions controls for the smog testing. I used to live in NJ, and hated annual inspections. Now, in SC, I can delete the cats and put in straight through H/X-pipes…
I have a 2016 GT/PP, and while it’s quiet at idle, it sounds great at full tilt, just not as loud as my 2006 GT, which had MAC Boom Tubes.
MFT was really pretty bad, but Sync 3 is worlds better. It’s based on QNX, rather than Microsoft Embedded, and the UI is completely different. It’s much more simple, gorgeous, as far as I’m concerned, and the Vehicle Integration Team is active on the Mustang forums, taking input from users and (hopefully)…
Gotcha. I grew up in Neptune City, but moved to sunny South Carolina. Happy to be out of that area, and your original post is one of the reasons why!
Is CBA even still open? I’ve been gone from Monmouth County for 15 years, but I heard something about it closing...
I’ve been nothing but happy with this car. I’d like a couple changes - the shifter is was less precise than the MGW short shifter I put in my S197 GT, I’m going to upgrade the bushings for the rear diff and cradle to TPR, and the car needs an intake, tune, and different set of mufflers. Still, it’s fantastic. The…
I didn’t. I did get a $500 rebate, on top of the X-Plan price, but the X-Plan website is telling me that my configuration is $40,117. That’s GT/PP, Race Red, Fastback Premium, Ebony Premier Trim, Navigation, and the Enhanced Security Package. I don’t have the paperwork on me, but the out of the door price, including…
The Pony logo is one of my favorite things about my new 2016 GT, and nothing that a Jalopnik list says can convince me otherwise.
I totally agree with you, but I wouldn’t put it past any company to tack on non-functional extraction vents.
I love the Mustang puddle lights on my 2016 Mustang. They’re a great little touch. Course, it might just be because my three-year-old loves them, but I don’t care!
I’m actually happy that several of the cars have just turned them around backwards, opened them up, and now use them for heat extraction. The vents in the hood of my 2016 Mustang actually put out a pretty good amount of heat, even when I’m stopped!
What are you talking about? “P.C.U.” is one of the best college movies in the history of ever!
But Piven did “P.C.U.” There is good in him!
They ain’t makin’ Jews like Jesus, anymore! They ain’t makin’ carpenters, who know what nails are for!
