I believe they’re only planning on selling like 2000 per year. That’s a pretty rare version of a vehicle that normally sells more than 100k per year.

Because Mustang guys know Mustangs, and can immediately pick out a 50th Anniversary package.
Skateboard spoiler FTW!
I was looking about two years ago, and was seeing cars with 30k on them in the high $30k range!
I think the bigger issue was that, budgetarily, none of the services were going to get a new airframe unless it was 'common' across the three service branches. Congress just seemed hell bent on making sure that every district got a piece of the pie, and every branch had to fight for everything it wanted.
Nice...I know a lot of salty old Navy guys, and even saltier Marines, and the inter-service rivalry is always fun to watch play out. Of course, everyone makes fun of the Air Force.
I was actually thinking explicitly about the Model T when I saw the text above, and was hoping that someone would comment on them. I’ve never hand started one, but would expect there would be some sort of gear system to make the cranking effort easier on someone. I can’t imagine you’d have to turn the crank directly...
I think it's that the front end is designed to be excessively chunky and tall. I was very surprised when I saw my first one. The hoodline is just SO high!
Amen! When the shit hits the fan, the only question on people's minds is 'Where are the carriers?" Once that's known, all they want to do is figure out how to get an expeditionary force there as fast as possible, and it's time for the Gator Navy to provide helo and amphibious assault capabilities, and fast moving…
You do realize that IOC for the B model is in like...fifteen months.
I saw the F-35B up close yesterday (well, from twenty feet away), and I was amazed at the number of facets to the aircraft's skin, and how it looked like entire panels could very well be passive radiators or possibly swapped for different missions. Let's just say that it looks AMAZING, in person.
And the strange part is that we walked through a V-22, which, you might know, was the Navy's choice to take on Carrier On-board Delivery, despite the fact that the F-35's engine can't fine in the V-22's cargo bay. I can tell you that the cargo bay is MASSIVE on that thing! I can't imagine the engine being THAT big,…
This is just typical export controls type stuff, the same as the US (and other countries) do to keep other countries from obtaining a competitive advantage. US companies can’t sell any number of high tech devices and parts to many other countries, denying them the ability to build advanced computing suites,…
I saw the F-35B at the MCAS Beaufort airshow, yesterday, and damn, she is a beaut! She's one loud bitch, too! When she was pulled out for the demo, I couldn't believe how much louder she was, compared to the F-16 and F/A-18s that were flying. I'd wager that the only demo team that was louder was the Blue Angels,…
Most do. My Mustang does not.
They share a common lineage, based on the Ford Duratec and Mazda MZR engine family, but these engines are different than those produced for the SPEED models.
I just got my American Muscle catalog a few days ago, and they were able to go like 12.2 with an intake and tune. I don’t have much time to search, but here’s a link from last year, where they were able to go 12.9 with a similar setup. I believe they’ve gotten much better since then.
Just note that it’s easier to toddler than to baby. Rear facing seats are pretty bulky, and you need to move the front seat up fairly far to get the seat in. My wife was very happy when we moved my son to a front facing seat.
My 2006 GT has gotten me 27 MPG on long road trips, with 3.55 gears. That’s gone down, now that I’m on wider rubber, but I still regularly see 21 MPG in mixed driving.
Noted. My almost three-year-old giant of a son fits well in the back seat of my 2006 GT, but I was wondering what they’d done with legroom in the S550. Glad to know.
