I don't see that at all. It's her choice, but clearly Clint and the priest speak against it. I think it's supposed to be something where you make your own mind up. I mainly stick with Clint's directorial efforts, so I was unfamiliar with those aspects. They do sound bad. I barely remember Dirty Harry, apparently.
