No kidding! To be honest, reading up on the controversy against Saldana, I fail to see a lot of the criticism as valid-particularly claims she was portraying blackface?! The portrayal does seem poorly executed nonetheless, and the fact that Saldana has reflected on it & stuck her neck out in a moment of growth, that’s

Saldana’s words really show up how Scarlett “I should be allowed to play any tree or animal” Johansson was just being entitled as fuck.

This is in poor taste in regards to what she posted about.

This was quite well written and I’m glad she shared her experience. Normally I’d go for maybe some snarky comment, but nope. I’m glad she got over it and her bout with it sounds awful and scary especially in March. I know one person who unfortunately died of it, a friend’s mom early on and it was a horrible

Ok, but this article isn’t about Ellen’s shitty behavior, so you might want to regurgitate that rage into a comment for an article where it’s actually relevant.

Yeah people on Twitter were bitching about how straight men are writing this story and it’s like what. You want Greg Berlanti or Ryan Murphy writing it? We finally have a queer director pumping out queer content and people are still finding reasons to complain.

I'm completely certain he's furious at a former lover/collaborator upstaging him creatively. I haven't seen Girlfiend Experience, but I know she got massive acclaim for that as well as this movie.

I used to think he was brilliant. Then I accepted that maybe he was a bit of a temperamental genius who maybe didn't know how to play by the rules. Now he's pretty clearly an immensely talented bastard who deserves his career hitting so many brick walls.

The signs were always there for this one. Who’d have thought that the guy who directs, writes, stars in, and scores his terrible films (and made a Malick knock-off so that he could make out on camera with a younger actress who – oh yeah, would later file a restraining order against him) would be a controlling prick?

I agree a huge problem is the characters just aggressively being their characters, to no real effect. Somewhere around season 6 they stopped trying to make the writing funny in its own right and really coasted on the characters turning it up to 11.

“The video uploader has not made this video available in your country.”

Recently binged all of Archer on Hulu.

There are a handful of really good Netflix original movies, like Okja, Private Life, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, Roma, and The Other Side of the Wind (if you want to count that one). But, man, with so much content, I’m genuinely surprised by how few memorable movies they seem to have.

Damn, an article I read to make myself feel a bit better about hating Colin Jost just ended up making me feel a little worse for liking Simon Rich!

I feel like this thing is going to be the new Infinite Jest, kept on bookshelves for the cool factor, never completed, shining like a warning beacon to potential romantic partners.

As someone who has liked all of Kaufman's film's, this sounds dreadful. Reading critics can't be fun when you're a filmmaker, but it's not like critics have it out for Charlie Kaufman. He's probably more well liked by critics than the general public.

I’ve greatly enjoyed The Neighborhood Listen because I could listen to PFT tell me about paint drying. Also Flagrant Ones certainly deserves some accolades for being one of the most enjoyable hang out podcasts out there. It’s amazing that some of their best episodes have occured in the absence of the whole reason they

And here on a Kinjaverse thread is JUST the forum for such a discussion.

I feel like William Castle would approve.

Interestingly, AV Club gave this episode of Bob and David an “A”.
