Hey, a cool queer black guy, now there’s an idea.

Was this that same fucker who retroactively queerbaited Lando as pansexual because he made flirty jokes toward robots
It’s a real shame about The Break, I was really looking forward to that show going places.
And, as always, thank you Kinja for reminding me that you have a built-in italics interface. Every <i> I type is simply an involuntary memory of Disqus that breaks free every now and then...
I have recently discovered and become swiftly become obsessed with the work of Ross Macdonald. He might honestly be the greatest mystery writer I’ve ever read. The best part is getting to the point where you begin to realise that he isn’t just a Chandler-ripoff at all like you thought at first glance, and is doing…
But that would mean that the writer would have to put in any amount of research at all, and that’s behavior that the A.V. Club just doesn’t stand for.
My problem with Dreamland was how the show suddenly took itself so damn seriously. They decided on plot over character, which I think is the opposite of what the golden years of Archer did. I feel like Dreamland at least tried to pay lip service to fans by shoehorning in various past Archer tropes and jokes (pedantic…
Half of me is all for this.

Right
Probably some no good Young Americans at that.
I was at a bookstore today and the proprietor gave me a free book along with my purchase because he said he thought it’d be to my taste. It’s called City Without Stars by Tim Baker - someone tell me if it’s good or not or if they like the author, I don’t think I’ve ever heard of him.

I love the movie, and I love the book as well. Part of me wants to think this is a good idea; that the good deal of material from the novel left out of the movie (Raymond Dieterling, Inez Soto, Preston Exley ect.) should see the light of day. Then the other part of me understandably wonders why something that is…
“...it’s not fair to go overboard with the negativity just because of one misstep.”
For the first time ever I started listing the books I’ve read this year as I read them. It pretty much proves only how extremely predicable I am. It’s not much, but this is 2017 for me (all pretty terrific, all highly recommended):
One gif of “TEN - MILLION - DOLLARS” please.
