Yeah, the numbers mean nothing to them. We agree. Their egos are another matter. I don’t think we disagree there either. A public loss is still a public loss, no matter how small the number it represents. Even if they earned money overall, it’s still bad press.

Going to disagree with you there. It won’t harm them financially but their egos are another matter entirely. They go ape-shit when they don’t earn *as much* as they predicted they would. The idea taking a loss and having to do PR to clean up their mess is probably one of the few things that might genuinely make them

Well, that’s $2,000 *and* seeing a CEO or two bleed from their eye balls. That’s kind of a win.

I agree in spirit, but don’t quite see what else can fill the role in its place. At present, class action suits are one of the few checks to corporations pulling the same anti-consumer nonsense Disney pulled here.

It’s fine. the narrative’s switching from anger at pedos to anger at immigrants anyway, so you don’t have to keep their names straight anymore.

Now playing

New idea for viagra ad campaign. Pfizer, call me.

I think we’re drifting into semantics there. As I understand it, an ideology is defined as a collection of ideas and ideals that constitute a political or economic theory. It does not automatically imply that it is wholly based only on subjective feelings any more than *any* belief we have is based on our subjective

They also the crowd that angrily chants “go woke, go broke,” promising dire consequences to any celebrity or corporation that dares support progressive ideas openly (remember that Budweiser commercial?). You’re arguing logic about an ideology that has no actual ideology, just feelings and confidence.

Don’t get me wrong I would love a 4 day work week, I just think if it’s going to happen it’ll be via the workforce increasingly demanding it and companies progressively yielding and transitioning over a long time frame

Not sure about trying to get back into Overwatch, but this definitely makes me want to watch an alternate universe Cowboy Beebop anime that starts after a brief time-skip. I want this so bad.

Bridges are cool, but have you heard of non-fungible bridges?

Well reasoned! Though why is the ability to act in self defense a necessary component in defining a combatant? Not disagreeing but I’m just curious about your reasoning. A kamikaze combatant after all is the definition of someone unconcerned with self preservation. Self-defense for a kamikaze is only relevant insofar

From your reply, I gather the defining factor that separates ammunition and combatant is intelligence? If so then can you define the functional difference between silicon choosing to change fin positions to achieve an objective and a human changing fin positions to achieve the same objective?

Pedantic question: Why is a missile not a combatant? Wouldn’t a sufficiently intelligent missile operating in space be a much of a combatant than a kamikaze pilot hunting aircraft carriers?

hm... just out of curiosity, if you saw a tortoise on its back under the baking sun, what would you do, “Ethan”?

Before, I was ignorant. Now I’m not. Thank you for this.

I’m sold. Take my money. I’m getting vibes of the nickelodeon incarnation of the turtles, which I feel is their best version so far.

Yeah, they’re also pulling similar nonsense with the Marines, I hear.

I gotta hand it to the right wing. While the rest of us were laughing at Karen videos, conservatives were like, “we need to hire those people. now.”

Ah yes. Baseball: the thinking man’s game. That’s why they had such a notorious steroid abuse problem. For brain muscles.
