It would've been pretty much impossible to cut her out of it. Given her position at Sony at the time the Marvel deal was struck, there was no way her name wasn't going on the thing.

Hopefully they got most of their mother's genes — Jay has a profoundly ugly mug. Luckily for the kids, when funny-looking rich men marry above their station, the supermodel genes tend to eat the gargoyle genes.

You ain't gotta be like that, holmes.

"Seth Rogan burned his bridge with me. He should of stuck to being a
stoner and not a activist. And his buddy Apatow isa fucking marxist."

That was a funny moment in that movie, I don't care what anybody says…

Bill Cosby raped a bunch of women in your novel?

The trouble with playing dumb is that you can easily wander into the real thing by accident.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a story to post about Hillary switching the Best Picture envelopes on Oscar night."

Endeavoring to be better than the worst jokes told by the worst comedians might be a more productive goal. And "vagina" isn't fun to say. It's an awkward word, which is why everyone use other ones when they're allowed to.

Ugh.

Whatever valid point she may or may not be making is undone by her being an asshole about it. If you're going to come at one of our greatest living directors in such a flippant way, you better have your facts right. She didn't, and I'm pretty sure her claim about having seen all his films is a lie too. My bet is that

Even if that were true, it wouldn't make you any better, Donovan!

No doubt that played a role, but it isn't the whole story. Minorities just weren't as interested in coming out for Clinton.

And many others chose not to vote for anything. If your point is, "fuck the white working class", I'll go along with that. Some are more responsible than others, but the shame of Trump is a society-wide failure — for instance, Trump actually improved upon Romney's share of Hispanics, which really, what the fuck!?

I like The Pale King too, but had Wallace finished it, it probably would have also contained a ton of footnotes. I suspect what survives might not have been even a quarter of the final product.

Had "the rest of us" voted at Obama levels, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Conservatives have enough problems dealing with that libcuck Bill Shakespeare!

Maybe I shouldn't say a middle finger to the show in general, but a middle finger to its levity and warmer moments? That's mainly what's missing for me, I think. The show has always had a darkness to it, but there was also affection and fellowship to anchor things.

In the old days they knew how to do nostalgia right. American Graffiti, now that's nostalgia!

I'm not as down on it as you but definitely share your frustration. I'll watch to the end because it's Twin Peaks, at least in name, but I get a sinking feeling that Lynch thinks everyone who liked the original show is an asshole. Hope I'm wrong. I won't count it out completely, but those who enjoy the new season most
