Well, Black Lodge Coop isn't that different from Dougie Coop, so he's pretty much been this way all season.

Aside from Coop's scenes, I doubt we've gotten a cumulative hour with the original cast yet this season.

Honestly I feel like both those sequences are way less disturbing than Bob/Leland's attack on Maddie. I'm still astonished they got that on the air back then.

"* What was it that came out of the glass box and killed the two kids?"

If America's young people voted in ways that mirrored the recent UK "snap" election, the Republican Party would immediately dissolve as a significant political force. Things are bad in America, but they're not so bad that people defending video game Nazis represent a sizable chunk of American youth.

I don't know if that reading is completely fair — keep in mind that he almost immediately transitioned into Fire Walk With Me, which was meant to begin a trilogy of films which would conclude the story. The Missing Pieces deleted scenes show some of that connective tissue. When they filmed the season 2 finale, I think

I don't think it's at all true that "more often than not the artist couldn't begin to tell you" what they're trying to accomplish — if anything, the opposite is true, at least in film. Directors approach each scene with concrete goals in mind. I think this is true even with a semi-surrealist like Lynch. But really,

I thought it was exactly as graphic as need be — the last woman being murdered was not shown, for instance, so Lynch did consider how much he needed to show. But I think it needed to be "yikes". Lynch needed to illustrate that this is a vicious little fucker and he's coming for Coop!

I like it quite a bit myself and was vaguely disappointed that Badalamenti was not responsible. Sure, it's not his typical music but he could have whipped something up. It's not like these episodes are giving him too much to do.

What isn't disciplined compared to Inland Empire?

Lynch: HEY FOLKS, I THINK I NEED TO FIND ONE OF THOSE RAP HIP HOP KIND OF BEATS.
[types "rap hip hop beat" into Youtube]
Lynch: THERE WE GO!

It's not unreasonable to parse the intentions of an artist who loves to obfuscate his intentions. "High" art or "low" art, it all comes to the same thing: what is the artist trying to communicate here? I don't think the woman in your story's experience is that unreasonable. When it comes to someone like Lynch, who is

A snob factor certainly exists among some proponents of the new season. "Oh, my sweet summer child, you who laughed at the antics of Andy and Lucy, isn't it grand that this newest season exists to disillusion you of your base entertainments?" Liking the newest season is a status symbol among people who recognize real

I don't think the left in general has warmed to him at all. People vaguely appreciate that he displayed a modicum of self-awareness about his past, but recognize that there's still too much craziness surging through his veins for comfort.

It's hard to imagine who Kelly's audience might be, now. The Right hates her because Trump hates her, and the Left hates her because they remember the words that have come out of her mouth. Liberals aren't going to warm to her just because Trump treated her poorly. He's treated a ton of Republicans poorly, but they're

They probably do want to do that, but no way Brock holds onto the title for a solid year.

Was quite solid!

Boo-urns.

If WWE knew how to handle the Bayley and Lynch characters, they might be enough to counter that perception. These days, I think it's less sexism than a manifestation of McMahon's belief that even top babyfaces kinda have to be assholes.

Hear, hear! Besides, anyone else who gets the belt is unlikely to benefit from it in today's WWE. It's more likely to drag someone down, actually. Except for the Miz.
