God yes re: chicken thighs. An absolutely superior piece of chicken.

judge them for actually evil actions”

The problem is that the margins on gasoline is a few percent. Recovering from this may mean selling a quarter million dollars in retail.

I had a guy order come from a table of six to the bar and order six shots.  I assumed a round for the table.  To my horror he chugged his beer, poured all the shots into this pint glass and proceeded to chug the tequila.  I couldn’t even say anything because of shock.

Fun travel tip... as you drive along A9 in Bavaria (particularly in the region between Ingolstadt and Munich), you can not only see the hops being grown, on certain days you can even smell it.  And yes, it smells as pleasant as you are probably imagining it right now.

Yeah some of the Tour de France descents are unwatchable to me.  I can’t stop squirming at the idea of what will happen if someone hits a stray rock.

Yeah, I’ve never been what anyone would call fast, but I’ve been up to 55 before. Every pro rider and a lot of amateurs have done this. Not impressed.

Yeah, this. I’ve done quite a bit of amateur bike racing. These speeds are very normal. I don’t look at the speed once I get above 60 or so. Looking at the road is more important 🤣

Came here to say the same thing. As an ex racer who trained in Amador county and along the California coast, this isn’t a surprising speed. It isn’t something we’d do every day, but it’s not unusual. My biggest concerns with these speeds is overheating my brakes coning into a turn. The video is beautifully shot

Exactly this. Racing in Europe, where the road in the Alps and Dolomites are much steeper that what we have state side, we see these speeds all the time. Having raced over there personally, we would see 100kph on nearly every descent. If you’re on a good bike and have good skills then what this guy is doing is nothing

Yeah, I’m out on the east coast and did a lot of racing in WV and PA. 50 mph is easy to hit but when you get north of 60 the sketch level rises considerably. All it takes at that speed is a little bit of a cross wind or the wrong pothole to set off a chamois soiling wobble.

I don’t have the nerve for it anymore after

Yeah, I run out of bravery/stupidity around 50mph/80kph. Only takes a gust of wind or an unseen bump and I don’t have the recovery skills of Sagan or MVDP. Or a vaguely competent 12 year old, if I’m honest.

I’ve seen it while flipping and initially thought it was about a guy living with his mom who hasn’t come out yet.

And to break it out even further, half(ish) of all yeast is lager yeast, the other half ale yeast.

It is a cash grab. Breweries sell 4 packs of 16 oz cans at the same price they sold 6 packs of 12 oz cans, the same price for 8oz less beer. It seems trivial but 8oz less per 4 pack for their entire production is a lot of beer saved while you pay the same cost. Sometimes you even pay more because selling seasonal 4

The Fierissance of late has been interesting. I can’t say one way or another if the food he makes is any good (it sounds fine, the sort of thing that isn’t necessarily unique, but is plenty good if executed well) but it’s weird how so much of the negative perception around him in previous years seems like it came

Now playing

Don’t forget when he was advertising for Flowmaster mufflers!

They tried to set something up like this with cats, but had to shut it down when all the emails were racist. The cats themselves were not racist, but they typed racist emails on purpose to try to get you fired.
