The over-the-shoulder drivers eye view is my favourite camera position for conveying the speed and skittishness of on the limit driving. They use it from time to time in the F1 converge too and it looks so sweet. Makes me sad that for an entertainment brand F1 has done so little to invest in the quality of its TV…

This feature should never have been called Autopilot. It’s a classic tech-mindset oversell, that is literally resulting in deaths. Co-pilot would have been a much better, and just as cool name I feel.

I had a 2nd gen smart and once you’d mastered the gear box, it was surprisingly fun. Rev-matched on the way down as well! I use to only half-jokingly refer to it as my “half a Porsche”.
