I wasn't gonna mention it, but someone had to.

There's so much more that could be done with it. Audi has a hybrid A1 with a 500cc (I think - tiny at any rate) rotary as the combustion side which is good for 150mpg.

More RPM & more power - more awesome! :)

Don't rotary engines combust twice in each revolution? Not quite a straightforward comparison to an i4.

Few cars epitomise the adage "Fix it with a hammer" like the defender :-)

This has not been a great day in motorsports.

Crazy isn't it? It looks a lot closer to finished that I imagined, they must be mad not to make 25-50 of them. Even if they lose money, the halo/brand value would be huge.

Melting the front bumper of the car behind would have been awesome though.

True, but I think Tesla is trying hard to cover off options one by one for their owners & to encourage the market in general. It's not any kind of silver bullet, but it's another small improvement in the picture.

True, above all else, Bernie loves money and they need a full grid with opportunities for drivers from emerging economies to keep the circus (money) rolling (in).

I think they are working on the assumption that on most long car trips you will return back again fairly quickly (ie, you go away for the weekend) and are likely to return by the same route you went.

The batteries all have serial numbers built into their control chips, and communicate this with the car, which in turn is sending data to Tesla. It sounds like your battery won't be given to another user under this way of doing things. Which is a bit silly, but given all the batteries are traceable by their serials

Yeah, but what I was getting at is the F1 engine makers have spent millions developing new engines, so why did they say it was too hard, when clearly it isn't. Perhaps the people beneath their tinfoil hats who said it was all a plot to keep VW out of F1 were right.

Excellent work from DCI Blundell! In the future if anyone asks why when I tell them this is the worlds greatest motor race, Ill show them this.

Just wow, 500plus out of a 1.6 4 pot. If Jaguar can make this drive train in a comparative shed in Coventry, why did the F1 teams say it was too hard & expensive for them?

Now you mention it, also a bit of Peugeot 306 Estate.

The 456 is definitely one of the best, it just works.

I think that was a grand total of amount of money spent on everything over number of cars produced. I would think this smaller value is probably more of a production based value, that hasn't factored in everything the company spent.

The opening music sounds like some sort of remix of Thderstruck?

Ah finally! Apart from interior transgressions, easily rectified, the C5 is still one of the best looking vettes. There's a great balance the styling that is missing in the later models.
