A lot of people don’t remember this anymore, but back when the Hobbit adaptation was just going to be one movie, they were planning to do a second “bridge film” that would have taken place between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The exact timeframe this new movie will take place in. I wonder if any

Just speaking for myself, it’s a huge red flag that of the critics who’ve seen it, every single one with a positive review has felt the need to preface their thoughts with a philosophical debate about what the words “good” and “bad” mean and if anyone truly has the right to judge someone else’s work.

Ah yes, all that mythology surrounding the legendary director of Jack starring Robin Williams and Bill Cosby.

With regards the kissing - if people say it was inappropriate, I’ll believe them.

Someone who works an office job here: I might throw a dinner roll at my boss if they made inappropriate comments about my body, though personally I’d love to have an excuse to throw a glass of water in the face of someone who deserves it

This is a very weird and bad take on this situation

Kinda surprised it’s taken this long for someone to say something about Robbins personally. Usually whenever he comes up it’s in a way where everyone’s like “he must have known something” but a level of plausible deniability there.

Is it because the lead actress of a film is speaking the language of trauma, and we’ve spent the last ten years reading about abusive directors going after their actresses? Maybe it’s just me, but I’m glad these two sentences were put in, because I know my mind went to harassment.

I have to see how Sugar ends before I have ANY trust for new Apple Sci-fi shows. Silo and Severance were both great, and I’ve enjoyed enough of Foundation that it’s gotten me through the lulls. Invasion I sort of watch but sort of don’t pay attention since I only care about 1/3 of the characters. I tried Constellation

I’d been meaning to watch the other shows eventually, but The Other Black Girl was pretty good.

If creativity was in your DNA Apple, then your products would be open source like Androids. Just saying.

Sadly, nobody is going to believe any video is showing autonomous robot tasks unless high profile media personnel are present, preferably with the robot working in-studio, not at the firm. I have no reason to believe “no teleop” notices pasted in any of these clips.

Does anybody actually want this? We already live in a shitty sci fi dystopia, why do we need to turn it full Terminator??

For me, at least, every time they break up the seasons is just introducing another opportunity for me to get distracted by something else. I’m bombarded with so much content these days that I’ll forget a particular show even exists for long stretches of time. “Oh yeah, wasn’t The Crown supposed to drop the second half

Disappointing lack of pictures of Hilary Swank, Walter Goggins, and Colonel Duggans.

Netflix really does need to pick a lane. Seems like every other streamer is flipping to weekly, but they seem to be so devoted to their original model that they’re managing to find a perfect mix that nobody will like.  A really bold new strategy, that.

A THREE-PART season?  The fuck?

And having seen it , it was great . It kind of reminded me a little of

Well, the media (and us, by extension) keep falling for it, don’t they? “Ooh, they’ve really got him now! He’s gonna have to face the music this time!” It’s what they were all saying after Muller, after the first impeachment, the second one, the insurrection hearings, each of the four insurrections, and now this
