You’re right, it would be much easier for these gig economy tech companies to buy their fleet of taxis, maintain all the vehicles, pay for the fuel whilst drive around the city with no parking, and driving the passengers around, and then still have time to pay off their CEO millions whilst laying off their employees…

Not getting paid for your work is not called a job.

So why then do the companies just surge price up the MPS rides to cover the wages? (kind of a joke) We know it is about CEO pay and stock prices.

Having taken my first Lyft ride in Vegas right before Covid shut everything down, the way the driver described his ‘terms of employment’ made it sound like borderline slavery. Horrible pay and responsibilities on the drivers, big money for corporate.  I’m sure things are worse now.  Much worse.

This is literally Uber and Lyft admitting that their business model was unprofitable without underpaying drivers.

They also want to classify ANYTHING that acknowledges the existence of LGBTQ+ people as porn, so they can ban that next.

Well, yes, that’s why all this abortion and LGBTQ crackdown crap is a slippery slope. Once they ban that, will people like this be happy? No, they’ll look for something else to ban.

It goes way deeper than religion. This is more or less them laying the foundation for something they want to use to identify undesirables.. Today it’s porn, tomorrow it could be because you shopped at the wrong place, or liked the wrong thing on Facebook.

This was the ultimate goal of the porn addiction rhetoric. Convince people they have a problem, tell those people you want to fix their problem, and they will let you do whatever you want.

The “boop/beep” thing was a direct insult to Pedro Pascal, after he put pronouns in his bio as a show of support for his trans sister. Publicly attacking the star of the hugely successful show you somehow landed a part on is exactly the kind of stupid-as-shit career move that leads directly to working for Ben Shapiro.

Yeah I remember that being really the biggest part of all of it. She was super anti-trans and I think Pascal even tried to talk her rationally about it at first, but after repeatedly going down that hole, he definitely went to the Disney powers and said to tell her to get the fuck out

Which isn’t even getting to the biggest part yet: the actual star of the show she appeared in has become a superstar over the course of it, famously has a trans sister whom he truly loves and supports in every way, and presumably told their bosses: “shut her up or get her the fuck off my show.”  And, not being idiots,…
