Nah, I’m fine with terrible and unfair things happening to terrible people. They can both get fucked and rot.

I don’t care what anybody says... the fact that they sat on it for years, and have now decided to dump it on streaming rather than the originally intended release definitely implies that they DO think is is pretty weak, if not outright flop material.
“Oh look, some other work that involved massive amounts of corporate time and money that I can bury and burn for a quick quarterly bump in tax savings” - responsible CEO

Surgeon here. This is the equivalent of using it to “remember” what utensils to place at a formal dinner setting. It generated the headlines they wanted but they basically wasted $4k of government money for a lark. It’s not like the surgery was impossible without it or the outcome improved. The scrub nurse was…
There’s additionally a lot of stories about people who’ve suffered depression for years and suddenly seeming like they’re in good spirits, and then off themselves, where the “good spirits” are because they’ve made the decision to end it all, and they feel better knowing they’re going to end soon.
“Eugen Vidineac, the Tates’ counsel, said there’s “no truth” to what Ross read live, ardently expressing the brothers’ intent to “actively [participate] in the legal process” in order to defend their reputation.”

Oh fuck all the way off twice. Emma Stone did nothing wrong.
Scorsese’s epic was undoubtedly one of the best films of the year.
I saw both Poor Things and KOFM. Emma Stone is much more front and center in her movie and her performance is very showy. Lily Gladstone’s performance is much quieter and for me impactful. However, it isn’t hard to see why Stone took home the Oscar. Nobody got robbed of anything.
“Robbing” is a strong and inappropriate word. It would have been awesome to see Gladstone win because I really loved her performance, but Stone’s was also really incredible, and a much bigger part of her film. The award was up for grabs especially between the two of them, and not for Gladstone to lose.
Did the AV Club forget that it put not just Oppenheimer, but also Poor Things, ahead of Killers of the Flower Moon in its list of the best picture of 2023? So why all the sudden wailing about the fact that the Academy . . . agreed with you? How is a movie “snubbed” when you think the actual winner was better?
Your first theory is probably the most likely. Your second theory, maybe. Your third really seems to be a stretch, especially considering how many awards 12 Years a Slave won three Oscars.
“It’s too long!” cries the drooling audience before going back to their 7th consecutive hour of Ugly People On Dates: British Cake Edition.
Given the option between China or Kotick having my data, I would choose China every time.
The article’s last sentence says the same thing.
