The Final Days of Gawker Have Come

Streaming could never be mainstream with the internet we have today, and I don’t see ISPs getting motivated to beef it up all that much in the next 10 years either.

The UI is cool and really smooth but it hasn’t evolved much since P5 which is diasppointing especially since after P5 we have seen a similar UI in SMTV, Soul Hackers 2, P3 Reload and even the upcoming Metaphor ReFantazio. They set themselves apart just to end up homogenizing their own games.

If you have a beefy PC, you can already play Starfield and will be able to play Indy too.

I kind of doubt people will miss a console that specifically says Xbox on it as long as they can still play the games. Going forward, they’re probably going to keep supporting the xXxBox6969xXx@aol.com by having their store versions of games for PC. For the next generation, if they have a hole burning in their wallet,

I feel like a PS5 is the only logical console for a PC owner to have. Any Microsoft exclusives are already on PC, so if you want access to the most games possible, the PC/PS5 combo is the best set. Despite also owning a hilariously overkill PC because of my job, I still use and love my PS5, but that’s really just

Wow who could have possibly anticipated this aside from literally anybody paying any attention to the economics of selling video games even slightly.

I’ve barely dipped into the comments, but I presume some people are upset by this the entirely wrong reason.

Not for Nintendo or PlayStation who with the Switch and PS5 stopped selling consoles at a loss.

Why would they? Valves whole shtick is they don't really care. They're making money as is.

Porn or not, I have no idea why anyone is spending $3500 for these things

Yeah I have yet to see a good document on how successful gamepass has actually been.

Exactly. With Apple products, there’s a definite sense that the company has decided there is a right way to use their products, and that it is constantly annoyed that customers refuse to comply.

I have a PS5 - I don’t plan on buying an Xbox, ever. Sorry, not sorry. I had one, once - a first-gen 360; it was nice, but HELLA noisy. It never died of RROD as long as I had it either. Those things are not a problem anymore I hear, but I just can’t justify buying yet another damn console which does the exact same thin

Valve tried before but left it in the hands of third parties. A Valve-made Steam Machine, based on their success with the Steam Deck, would be very appealing. https://kotaku.com/valve-announces-steam-machines-1386046176

If Sony ever allowed GP on PS, it would only be for MS’ first-party titles. Even then, they’d require that the games also be sold separately on PSN. Basically how EA Play already works on PSN.

Xbox fanboys are in shambles. Meanwhile, everyone who isn’t a fanatic about inanimate objects probably think Xbox should have been doing this for a while. Game Pass subscriptions + unit sales aren't going to recoup the costs of a decade long dev cycle that was Starfield.

VR porn aside (because... why?), this is the attitude that makes me not like Apple. They just fundamentally don’t think that the devices you buy are really yours. They still see them as extensions of their own marketing.

There’s no chance Sony puts Game Pass on PS5 as a streaming service.

This shouldn’t be shocking to anyone, it’s been coming for years. Evan a company as big as Microsoft can’t afford to continue to pour dump trucks full of money into failure after failure. They’ve spent the last few years tricking as many of the customers they do have into becoming subscribers for their silly

They did.
