You know, I assumed about half of this without knowing anything about the case.

I hate Bay but the guy can churn out projects on budget and turn a profit with serious reliability.

you see and feels his love for the potential of cinema. The potential of it to be fantastical, to be heightened in its reality, but to move you and to excite you”

Same. Saw it with my sister in an empty theater and had a fun time.

Point of order - it can only disappointment if you expected it not to suck. The Flash was widely expected to be pure shiat.

Fuck off and Die, Bobby.

Wat.

You kind of hit the nail on the head. The people who invest in these companies and sit on the boards (maybe not of Insomnic but certain of Sony) want nothing less than an increase in profit growth, year after year.

I’ll fight that. It sucked but it didn’t wipe its ass with one of the best modern Thor stories. Love and Thunder took a shit on Jason Aaron’s run.

Sounds better than having to play the game but not by much.

One of the best to ever do it.

Did they include any writing, plot or gameplay that isn’t total ass?

Just salivating to watch suicide squad servers get taken down before easter.

...how does that help them establish a recurring revenue stream, the point of the project?

Anrjtkgje.

Good. It would have sucked, wasted resources and invalidated what artistic merit there was to the series.

Pass.

Eh, Star Wars basically murdered all casual fans or fans who aren’t on board with Filonis hyper specific visions. There are still 2 core films that are largely credited for inspiring generations of cinema and the explosive spread of sci-fi in general.

“No one cares about avatar, I can’t believe everyone alive saw it based on gross receipts! I don't see any psychotic superfans poisoning everything around them with their "passion"! No one even makes death threats to the black people who stole their role from honest blue skinned actors!"

Id argue that it has more impact then, well, any MCU film, which only encourages the worst aspects of their better films.
