Oh the Greatsword has been in since the start of the Souls series and the description usually alludes to Guts by using similar descriptive language as the manga. In DS1, it was specifically used by an NPC who wore similar armor.

I find it...difficult to believe that the US is willing to go that far. It would anger a number of ultra-rich conservatives and I just don’t see that happening. 

People get strangely caught up on, “well, does this monster want Stalinism, corpo-facism or is he just a regular blah-blah-blah”.

It is worth mentioning that there are actual “era’s” to both terrorism and specifically plane terror.

When...when have war crimes ever been successfully prosecuted on the international level against a nation with nuclear weapons?

And if the long term result is “only” some crashes in Russia, then average consumer won’t give two tugs about how it was spun out of what will then be an old war.

On top of that, his drinking habits in the last years of his life are horrifying. That he and the upper echelon of the USSR was making decisions like that is...well, it is a bizarrely small comfort to know he was a monster decades before that.
