The pilots perhaps, but just like the Air Force flies for Army paratroopers, so too could the Space Force (or Navy) fly for Army troops. It’s not like the Army doesn’t work with the Navy and Air Force to get troops across water or air today, after all. Why would space be any different?

A decent number of movies buck the trope (which was really only popularized with Aliens). But yes it’s common.

I’ve often wished there was more Jewish representation in video games (other than BJ Blazkowicz, Johnny from GTA IV, and almost all of the Bioshock characters). Now I’m glad there isn’t!

I resent the space marine trope so much. Give me space army (I guess Starship Troopers does this). Give me US Army spaceborne infantry (actually Dead Space does this with their military, even if you only encounter zombified versions). But no more space marines dammit! It’s such an overused trope!

The animations were booty. Just not great. The enemies looked so unresponsive and the melee attacks looked like photoshopped effects rather than physics interactions.

Very strange how they highlighted combat so much and then showed some very stiff, low impact melee animations and unresponsive enemy animations.

Smaller is the future. Kids want mobile/tablets, but as they age, they also want more complex graphical/immersive experiences offered by console and PC. The tech is one day going to enable us to play AAA cutting edge games on iPads without streaming. We’ll get there. Tech is getting small enough to fit that form…

There will always be a demographic that likes to churn through a mindless grind and I have no doubt those people loved the game.

I mean the joke wasn’t funny but it also wasn’t hurtful or offensive or even edgy. It was a tame joke about how popular she is and if anything the joke was about the NFL. One would hope that she can handle such a tepid joke.

Somehow not including Redfall seems more disrespectful than including it. That was a big deal for Xbox.

I’m a guy with an Xbox and PS5 both next to my TV. The people pushing the “Microsoft Bad” narrative only have one of those next to their TV. I’ll let you guess which one.

I think the Series X has been selling well, but the Series S SKU hasn’t, and developing two SKUs was really messed up by COVID supply issues plus the big push to add server rack resources for XCloud.

Yeah based on feedback, it seems really unpopular, but the intent is indeed to keep you engaged. So maybe their algorithm sucks? No idea.
