Most games piss consumers off by moving to a sequel too soon (MW19; Overwatch 1; Left 4 Dead) but Bungie is annoying players by milking a reskinned grind for an absurd price every year. Seriously they charge so much for each expansion and the content is NEVER worth the price of a full release. I really enjoyed Destiny…
This is pretty funny framing. It’s “just” $200? I’d hope so considering it can’t cloud stream or play anything natively. It’s a glorified wifi device.
I want the AC6 Xbox Series X so badly. My wife would (justifiably) insist I hide it behind the TV but I don’t care.
Consumer-side this won’t impact anything, though it does potentially create a scenario where cost rises for certain streaming products, which is so typical for the CMA. But in terms of access to ABK games on Xbox as first-party titles and day-one Game Pass releases, nothing changes. In theory Microsoft will also…
Oh yes. TS2, and I was also playing Goldeneye and Perfect Dark and getting smoked by my friends’ older brothers back in the day haha. The TS2 bots were great.
I miss these kinds of experiences too. The 360 was the most magical console generation.
“Promises more skins, maps, and heroes”
The game does a better job of that though. I appreciate that Letherface is just one of the killers, and while he’s always a very lethal presence, I’m usually way more terrified of Johnny once he starts stalking you, or Sissy and the Hitchhiker squeezing through obstacles to chase you places the other killers can’t.…
Texas Chain Saw Massacre, IMO, was never really a “fear” horror movie. There’s some terror with the chase scenes but really it was always a “teens want to have sex and get tortured by creepy inbred family” slasher, which is about as scary as any of these goofy 70s/80s slashers. But I think the game still has great…
Overwatch is bad because there are like 400 heroes. How can you balance that? You can’t. The result, by the way, is 100% based on the need for Blizzard to sell skins. More heroes = more money spent by players. Take a lesson from Team Fortress 2, Blizzard. Insane how bloated they’ve made this silly game.
Social media is a cancer. Every day I see nothing but antisemitism and racism and sexism and outrage pumped into my feed. I see militant gun nuts fantasize about civil war. I see kids growing up laughing, desensitized, at the most inane and stupid and even horrific shit. This kid is a victim of a family and system…
Pretty ballsy of them to charge for this. Whenever they add content to Game Pass (whenever Activision/Blizzard is acquired) I’ll try out new content on my Xbox, but until then--and if even after that it’s still paid DLC--I’ll just stick to Team Fortress 2. TF2 remains the better hero shooter 15 years later.
Yeah but it’s being released today, for $50? lmao. Switch is a joke. Don’t get me wrong I love the one Mario or Zelda game every three years but come on... almost everything else is either shovelware $2 scam games or inferior ports of Xbox games.
Yeah because of the passengers, not the aircrews or pilots.
It seems the fear for you is the unknown. The things you’re describing that scare you are normal, but they don’t feel normal or familiar to you, and so they bother you. Totally normal psychological response, of course, lots of people hate flying. You’re still in far more danger on the highway and yet you probably are…
Xbox has been killing it. I tend to buy both Xbox and PlayStation these days because I like games too much to pick just one and miss exclusives, but I’ll admit the XB1 was bad enough that I thought I’d be done with Xbox entirely. They turned it around this gen though. The Xbox Series X has some of my favorite console…
The writing was never great. The show was almost great in spite of the bad writing, and in spite of the very confusing (for those unfamiliar with the lore) first season time-jumps. That a show could be promising despite major flaws in plot direction and writing demonstrates that there was definitely some magic there,…
I wonder if the hardware is a big challenge or if it’s moreso that they’re not a huge team and so they have to prioritize the other platforms first. I wonder if that’s really more of the concern than their ability to get the tech stuff sorted.
I’m sad we don’t really have details about Xbox status. I get that the multiple SKU parity thing is an additional challenge especially for a team that (I think) is traditionally PC-focused.
