You’re getting pushback because this feature is, well, silly, but in general you’re 100% right and it’s not a coincidence that the most popular game IPs today were launched either with no input from “e-sports” or streamer culture, or else before those things even really existed at all. The gaming world is so

I was really hoping they’d release a new (knight, please, please let it be some sort of knight) class sooner than later, because it’s going to get really tiresome replaying the same map over and over every season, even if you can skip the campaign.

I know people are complaining about the ads but honestly I don’t really notice them much with the new redesign. They’re the bottom two right panels, and one is for a service I have (Game Pass) and the other is almost always for an Xbox product, so it really doesn’t stand out to me as an ad. What I find most

What does that have to do with my comment which is explicitly about paid content that sucks? Did you even read my comment? It sure wasn’t complaining about free content. It was complaining about how dumb what we get for real money is. Especially compared to real expansion packs.

“Seasonal content” and “storefronts” replacing expansion packs and actual new levels etc. is the dumbest thing in the world. The new campaign is a few reskins and stat changes plus some new dialogue, disguising hundreds of cosmetic nothings that cost real money. People are morons for paying for that.

Really weird product. A lot of people are going to buy this expecting something either like Xbox cloud streaming or Switch, and it’s really neither.

Necro is neat, but instead of designing him like a dark knight with a sword and shield he doesn’t actually use, it would be great if they’d just add a knight/soldier build with satisfying melee offense/defense animations. A little disappointed they slapped a sword-and-board aesthetic on a summoner—a knight-mage hybrid

This website is 80% ads and 20% content at this point.

Right, when hatred of Jews, Black people, etc. becomes part of someone’s life, it’s usually not because they have a diagnosed mental illness. It’s usually because they’ve found something that gives them some sort of pleasure response, or helps soothe self-consciousness, boosts their self-esteem, or makes them feel a

Great news, I have both consoles but the Game Pass value is going to increase dramatically when Sony’s contracts preventing games from coming to Game Pass expire. And I’ll still be able to play these games with my PS5 friends. I don’t really see why consumers are against this deal, unless they have an aversion to

This is why, as much as I love my Xbox and (sigh) PS5, which already feels like way, way too much video games in my living room, I’m increasingly drawn back toward PC where you’ve got some incredibly good games from independent developers or small publishers not swallowed up by the big money-making groups. I mean,

I don’t love how gamey this feels. I get it, Diablo has always been a loot grind, but every single game feels like a variation of Call of Duty at this point. Structurally, the meta interactions we have all revolve around “seasons” and ways to spend money.

I don’t get why the Switch is so popular. A game like Zelda comes out every three to four years and in the meantime you get the jankiest shovelware and uglier ports of Xbox games.

You can game on laptops. Unless you mean you have a laptop that can’t game.

Well, they did, at least for the past decade. Xbox did it better in the 360 years. They seem to be doing it better now.

The comments here are pretty funny. I think I believe him, because it tracks with Microsoft’s strategy as a software and systems seller.

God damn streaming culture is stupid as hell and everyone here is dumber for participating in this.

Bingo. I just think the burden of proof is way too hard because so much of it is not only projection, but also relies on multiple degrees of theoretical outcomes—that Microsoft would go against its word or betray contracts, and that even further, even if CoD became exclusive, it would not only damage Sony, but damage

Yeah I think this is ultimately one of my biggest gripes with D4, though I still find the game more interesting and fun than D3. But my basic attack should not feel so useless. That said, a lot of these buffs help change that. All the classes have received basic skill buffs.

Hooray for a slight Invigorating Strike bonus. My Rogue mixes Invigorating Strike basic skill with Barrage core skill for a fun hybrid swords/crossbow build but it’s felt unsatisfying killing guys up close so I’m hoping this buff will make it a bit more fun with mobs. Nice to have a reason not to use Puncture, the
