I hope they don’t make the same mistakes as CoD: Vanguard and use Black people as a clumsy substitute for Jewish people.

I understand that, but I was expanding upon the state of Halo more generally. I think that while the specific criticisms of the article are definitely deserved, I think they’re really just symptoms of a greater problem, which is that Halo is essentially a less interesting version of the same game it was nearly 20

The single player is terrible, the multiplayer is... more Halo? I was a huge fan of Halo back in the day, and while I still love Xbox, I haven’t really enjoyed Halo since Reach. They should have let it die with Bungie. That said, Infinite is really not a bad multiplayer Halo game. It’s a little faster than Bungie’s

And the response is always “well sure, Xbox is allowed to compete same as Sony, but not in a way that makes me actually want to get an Xbox!”

You could say the same thing about Fallout 3. “Just kidding, we rescued the protagonist using last-minute science and medicine!” is definitely an option.

Some DLCs end up retconning the ending though (Fallout 3 for instance).

Even when V survives it’s implied it’s not for long, so if the DLC takes place post-vanilla, they’ll have to retcon the ending like with Fallout 3. Otherwise they’ll do one of those Fallout New Vegas things where the DLC needs to be completed before the last main mission.

I think it’s actually pretty great how much support MCC is seeing, and it still has a healthy player base. That said I’m not defending microtransactions here. Just good to see that MCC is still very much supported. I don’t think it’s good when devs abandon popular games every time a new one comes out, especially

He’s careful because he can’t make guarantees. There are legal reasons he can’t talk more openly about what will and won’t be on Playstation. For example Microsoft owns Deathloop, but Sony has made is so that they can’t even acknowledge when the game is coming to Xbox. He’s not being vague because he doesn’t want to

This is a stunning level of detail for a fan-made concept piece. Really incredible thought put into this. Not only is it impressive artwork and 3D design, but it makes a refreshing amount of sense for a fan project, in terms of lore. It’s sensible and logical rather than someone trying to force their Van Helsing idea

Ah yes how dare Xbox be good. Bad for gamers, etc. when Xbox is worth buying, sure bud.

Sony buys up devs and you guys go “they’re sparring partners! They grew up two doors down! They played baseball together in high school! They made a blood pact at the age of 11 to be friends forever!”

I was honestly surprised this wasn’t a Rick and Morty game. It looks and sounds like a Rick and Morty episode, right?

Half Life taught the planet how to tell an engrossing video game narrative without the protagonist uttering a single line of dialogue and then everyone got amnesia and replaced it with Aloy muttering to herself every time she collects a stick or Geralt proudly pointing out that he’s found a cave of goblins when you’re

I hope Atlas is good. I have Xbox and PS5 but timed exclusives always drive me crazy (still waiting for Deathloop...) It’s nice that Atlas is not locked to timed exclusivity. I also hope Forspoken is good; I’m not convinced by what I’ve seen so far, but the premise and design has a lot of potential. The dialogue seems

The gameplay looked so bland to me in all the recent gameplay I’ve seen. The world looks empty, the third person movement and combat animations look more like a mobile Fortnite entry than an open world RPG, and there just doesn’t seem to be enough sandbox to enjoy. Compare the gameplay coming out today with the reveal

I just want to play it on Xbox as well for that matter (it’s not in the store, is it? I didn’t think it was one of the digital titles...)

From a market perspective I’m not sure how much that matters; I think it’s the fact that they’re largely managing third party titles primarily.

Now I don’t believe you even have the Xbox. Come on now, stupid question.

You do understand that Sony does this too, right? Or in your mind are Playstation games made in a magical dream cauldron by gaming wizards
