The more I learn about game dev and the industry, I find the developers being lazy is rarely the case. It’s usually many other things and not lazy developers. Most developers work their asses off. It’s usually either deadlines or requirements imposed from the business side that hamstring the devs.

I sorta agree- especially since this is an RPG. I do think its odd that PS5 and Series X are capped at 30, but for Switch- I don’t think I would have noticed or even thought about it. If this was a fast paced game- I may more.

Seriously! The graphical differences between RE1 ps1 and remake are astounding. Remake still looks nice on modern TVs. I can only play the original on old TVs or else it looks like a mess.

Resident Evil 1 and Resident Evil 1 Remake had 6 years between it but... 6 years back in the 90s was a bigger leap for technology.

Yeah, missed it scrolling past all the ads

And… they also bought Limited Run Games

The app seems to do absolutely nothing to promote this. I had to so a search for video games in the search tool.

Ha, I remember when this game came out and there was hype, it came out, and many people were underwhelmed. The remake had a similar reception. Now a 3rd time?!

Except we’re not voting here- there’s no reason to take a side.

WTF why are people even picking sides here. They’re both awful.

Is it really a surprise that fully immersing yourself in a world that exists solely to block out the real world and keep you captive to work is a bad idea? I mean, isn’t that the concept that Severance is taking to the extreme?

Four Words: Thomas the Tank Engine

Yeah! Need to get back to River City Girls- love the characters and art of it. On the other side of the coin, I REALLY have tried to like the new Battletoads but really haven’t been able to get into it. I actually love the original NES game- but I didn’t find the battle very fun in the new one.

I didn’t really get into Scott Pilgrim but this team also did Streets of Rage 4, which I played all the way through and loved.

You should try these new games. They did Streets of Rage 4 and its fantastic. I haven’t played this yet but sounds like they knocked it out of the park again.

Yep, and a stealth connection to Ace Attorney

Sorry for the tangent, but sometime I should get more details from my uncle who, in the late 80s or early 90s, had a co-worker (VP) at his company based out of Cincinnati who got fired because of pressure from Nintendo. The guy was putting small ads in magazines for selling Nintendo emulators. From what I understand,

Yeah, I’ve wondered the same. I REALLY hope they do a Mania 2

As long as they keep also doing the occasional sprite-based 2D Sonic, they can do whatever they want with the 3D games.
