That joke has been around for at least 30 years. Still effective though haha

agree 1000%. If you’re sitting 10+ feet away from a 50 inch or smaller, maybe quality doesn’t matter. If you’re sitting close to a small screen or close-ish on a big one... the performance mode is WAAAY to soft.

“joke”

If you buy the console for the game, and buy the game when it releases....

OP already said he was waiting for the PC releases. I was pointing out that if you were actually buy a console for this trilogy you’d be buying 3 consoles- which is silly.

you mean 3 systems? I mean, part 1 was on PS4 only at launch, part 2 is on PS5, part 3 is probably at least 3 years out...

As much as I love Parasite Eve and want to see more, I think the fact that it wasn’t an original Square IP makes this close to impossible. Even when they finally did do a 3rd game on the PSP, they didn’t even use the PE name because it wasn’t theirs. I would LOVE to be proven wrong about this and see them do a remake

4 is the absolute worst with cut scenes. I’ve played through all 5 MGS games and that one is overboard. I turned up the volume and went and washed the dishes (start to finish) during one of them.

Yeah, I don’t understand why this comes up so often.  There are cases where someone may have a phone sitting in water for a long period of time- which can become problematic, but basically any iPhone made in the last 10 years is fine if it falls in water and is removed fairly quickly. The rating says it can be in

but that headline. I mean, its literally what introduces this whole thing. Words have meaning. Use the correct words.

Yeah. I also fascinates me how some game art styles or consoles graphics will be criticized by some at the time but later are preferred

I love tank controls for games that have fixed camera angles like Resident Evil 1-3. For Tomb Raider they just don’t seem to be as critical. That said, the controls are probably the least of my concerns. I think they only get to me when I’m trying to do something very precise very quickly.

This is great, IMO. I love old games and many of them I can overlook shortcomings due changes in controls and graphics, but the old Tomb Raider games feel so rough now. I’m glad you can revert it to the old style, but this is an old series that did not age well at all. Playing them now I’m shocked that I played

I’m okay with it as long as they’re okay with never owning any of my money.

For me, it was Christmas 1988. In late 1988 Zelda 2 and Mario 2 were out but the chip shortage meant they were both in VERY short supply. As far as I could tell, Mario 2 hadn’t even shown up in stores. It was nowhere. I had absolutely zero expectation that I would get it for Christmas. On Christmas day I was

Very true- but we’re not sure when this deal was finalized. The deal for Midnight Suns could have predated it or it could be an example of it. 🤔

Important to note that there is some wiggle room. It seems that Sony has exclusive rights for X-men except for when they appear in “multi-family” Marvel games. So this could leave the door open to something like a new Marvel vs. Capcom game.

I’m still impressed at the price. I picked up a fully serviced (recapped, etc, etc) and region free PC Engine Duo a few years ago and that ran me about $150 more. That works better in my setup but this would have been super tempting if I didn’t have one and DAC support and jailbreak come through.

it’s been pointed out by some including Alex Aniel (writer of Itchy Tasty and lives in Japan) that the translation on this interview has been taken in directions that it doesn’t seem to have intended. It doesn’t seem that he was indicating that Capcom is officially working on more remakes- that he was talking about

I think you’re on to something…
