Using that rational,

You must not pay attention to things that dont fit your narrative.

Baseball Almanac reflects the very generic name "Three Pitch Inning":

They have similar WHIPS, which would lead me to believe that Brown was able to compensate for not striking people out. If the separator for the two is the post season, so be it. I can live with that being the thing that pushes Schilling over into the HoF. My feeling is Schilling gets in on his last ballot, just so

Absolutely. I’m not trying to “full throat” argue that Schilling should be left out. I’m just trying to figure out the arbitraty cut off line that lets Schilling in and keeps Brown out.

Yeah, that’s a good point regarding his post season numbers. I don’t have a particular anti-Schilling sentiment. I’m kind of ambivalent towards his HoF candidacy. I just think it’s odd that he and Brown are so close in stats and there was no argument over whether or not Brown should have been excluded.

My argument against including Schilling would be that his career is almost the same as Kevin Brown’s. If you go to Schilling’s Baseball Reference page, the pitcher to whom he is most similar (based on similarity score, anyway) is Kevin Brown. I mean, look at the comparison:

Right? John Glenn went back into space in his mid 70s. Lance Bass has 40 years.

So, when does the recall petition against this judge start?

Kipnis: Ey Ma, come and look at the size of this fella. Bet you can box a lil’, can’t ya, sir? Ah, you look lak a boxer.

I thought the Bible was the greatest story ever told. Then I read this.

The pic is grainy, but it looks like he at least caught a glancing blow.

Maybe. I hadn’t thought about it that way.

I agree with you 100%. This probably isn’t sexual/romantic chemistry, but Swift looks really content to be with that person at that place at that time:

And you said the hot take was on it’s death bed.

I understand it’s a garbage stat. A lot of ‘traditional’ stats are garbage. It doesn’t mean that baseball HoF voters won’t use them/point to them to justify their vote. Baseball HoF voters are the same people who don’t want anyone voted in unanimously because Babe Ruth wasn’t voted in unanimously. They are slow to

If next season (I assume next season will be the last since they’re pairing off everyone) they decided to focus the entire show on Winston and make every episode a ‘classic Winston and (Character X) mess around’, you won’t hear any guff from me.

Technically correct is the best kind of correct.

Yeah, if I was a voter the hit totals and the defense would be enough for me to vote him in. But, the baseball HoF voters just seem like an ornery bunch, with no real rhyme or reason for why the vote for some people but not others.
