Tim O’Neil is a highly accomplished rally driver, and owns arguably the best rally school in the US - not just a “guy in boots driving through the woods”.

Interestingly enough, the same thing happened with me when I was a kid. We were planning on doing a local helicopter tour - but the day before our scheduled ride, the helicopter crashed and there were fatalities.

Funny and clever ad aside, these are excellent bikes. The way they handle is completely different from any other machine I’ve ever rode. Fast acceleration, 60+mpg too. Only reason I sold mine was to finally get the Speed Triple I had been dreaming about.

Because the entire program is founded upon waste! Waste of taypayer dollars, waste of resources, may as well waste every part of the car!

Exactly - and I’d say winning rallies is a lot cooler than hopelessly fishtailing and sliding around the way RWD elitists want everything to be.

If it were RWD, it certainly wouldn’t have won any rallies back in the day!

Not around here. I have a major Hell’s Angels compound in my town, so needless to say there aren’t any other MCs in my area. On that note, some of the occasional Harley riders that wave or otherwise acknowledge me have been Hell’s Angels. The ones that flip me off are old dentist / executive types on sparkling clean

Harley riders around here made me stop waving at any other rider when I’m on my Speed Triple. I’ll happily return a wave (sometimes even the occasional Harley rider will wave), but I quickly grew tired of getting flipped off by FXLCHXHLDXL Ultra Wide Fat Glide Classic Deluxe riders because I’m not “one of them”.

Came here to make a Fallout-related comment - leaving satisfied.

Yes it is! Just found this picture via an image search as well, for scale. Kei cars are fantastic.

Still one of my favorite Kei cars.

There’s plenty of places where FWD can certainly be better than RWD, especially racing on loose surfaces. Front-drivers tend to run circles around rear-drivers in different types of Rally (from RallyCross to full Stage) and Ice Racing, and often beat up on the AWD cars as well.

I wholeheartedly agree. I thought I had it bad commuting by motorcycle. I commuted by bicycle a few times this summer and the things random drivers do to you when you’re on a bicycle are beyond insane.

Rand0nS is just being true to form. I was certain I have seen him make similar comments before, and I was right. He likes placing as much blame on motorcyclists as he possibly can while feigning moral and intellectual superiority.

Oh yeah, nonstop! Day in and day out for sure!

Here’s that “other side of the story” you were looking for, oh holy one.

I agree! At the corporate level it’s fought with dubious facts.

Because if he included it, people would be bitching “Too long; didn’t watch” and “WHY DID YOU INCLUDE SO MUCH BORING SHIT BEFORE THE ACTION? YOU SUCK.”

(Redacted comment; realized it’s not worth getting into an internet fight on Jalopnik)

You’re correct; I’ve been in that same exact scenario driving in my car through Connecticut.
