I mean, probably the same things that happened when we became alarmingly comfortable driving with cruise control. Or stability control and ABS. Or automatic transmissions. Or backup sensors. Or at highway (60+ mph) speeds. Or interacting with stoplights. Or even lane markings.

Most of the good things I have to say about them are also true for the first generation AirPods, which first shipped in December 2013.
