I'm from SC (and happened to be there visiting family when this happened last year) and I knew Clem Pinckney. He was 19 and we both worked at the State House of Representatives. Even at that age, he was a phenomenal human and already had a congregation. It was a massive loss.

xoJane has been SO BAD for SO LONG. I responded to one of the articles I read last year (maybe the yoga piece you mentioned) and someone commented, "well if you hate it so much, why are you here?" and I'm like, seriously, though, why am I?

Adjacent to your comment, I'm 43 so I'm not as hesitant anymore — but would you be offended/weirded out if someone (a woman, okay ME) approached you to tell you that you have very lovely legs? Like, couched sort of, "I know this might sound weird, but you have really pretty legs" or "you legs are so well-shaped" or

No, but you'll want to jump off a building, not strangle your own children.

SO MUCH BETTER!

WE ALL DO.

And how it feels like someone tried to rip your nips off.

Can't. Stop. Laughing at this.

Maybe I'm wrong, but holy crap, I think this dude is heroic. Who cares if he was ALSO saving himself? Whatever he said made those people act immediately and he saved some lives or some limbs there. Why all the hate?

“Uggggh...you guys made me ink."

Had never heard of that and just looked it up, and it's still available! Literally going to order for my awesome kid RIGHT NOW. Thank you.

I don’t think this will be helpful. Unfortunately, my mom is not amazing in any ways and the only way I have “gotten over it” (not true, I won’t ever get over it), or I guess “moved forward,” is that I have realized she will never a mother to be, or an amazing grandmother, and that if I’m allowing her to be in my life

And Cookie by R. Kelly. Okay, I'm the only one. My bad.

SO. EARLY. I was a heavy child and always struggled with weight, and you would think it was this huge, fat cross my mom had to bear her whole life. I’ve never mentioned anything in front of my daughter about not liking my body or weight (which I don’t) and I’ve fully removed that from my vocabulary. We eat healthy

We've loved the American Girl magazine, and all their help books. The books have literally helped my daughter stand up for herself and her classmates (through guided role play) and helped her ask me questions about her body/changes. She's 10.

I can't offer any help or insight, but I'm in awe of your ability to move forward and keep a sense of humor. As a parent, I can't imagine your challenges and I sincerely hope the very best for you and your family.

With a mechanical pencil behind his ear and a stud finder.

Pretty much the best scene in any movie in the history of anything.

Connie on Jessie, Hazel on Bunk'd, Brooke (I think) on Austin and Ally — and Jessie is just a pile of stereotype perpetuation (sassy African American child, nerdy/friendless Indian child, vain/vapid blonde princessy girl, slobby/lazy fat butler, etc.). I have a 10 year old. I guess I'm thankful we can use these awful

Her fingernail polish color is the same color as her skin, so they look like skin nails.
