Oddly, Medieval Reminiscence Fair sort of works in this context.

No, he’s more from the caveman era.
Really? I woulda thought the sneaker was a shoe-in.
One of the more satisfying deaths of the series. That dude definitely had it coming.
I got that too. I kept thinking, is this a Guillermo del Toro-produced project I didn’t know about? But no, he had nothing to do with it.
Well, if nothing else it looks beautiful.
Having a Disney character with PTSD is an interesting idea in itself. It would be a great thing for them to explore, though I can see why they won’t. They would worry that all the right-wing war hawks will bitch that it’s liberal propaganda. Oh, well.
Walt Disney Studios: whitewashing reality since 1937
Am I leaving anyone out?
Quite a few: Whiplash, Ultron, Yellowjacket, Kaecilius, Dormammu, Baron Zemo, probably a few more.
So, Trump supporters are mad because they’re stupid and reality isn’t what they want it to be. Shocking.
So, a slick nod to eighties-era Lovecraft . . . I’ll take it.
Well, Carpenter directed two fairly Lovecraftian films, The Thing and In the Mouth of Madness, so one does not necessarily preclude the other. In fact, that’s a pretty good sign, I think. That makes me even more excited to see it.
Yes! I get a really nice Lovecraftian vibe from the trailer. Definitely up for this.
Wow. Wowie wow wow. That is . . . one sex education method, I guess.
Did anyone else think of The Dark Tower when they saw some of these?
Oh god, that’s even worse! That’s damn near grounds for child protective services to step in. I mean, no child should be subjected to a movie that terrible! (Sorry, couldn’t resist. Yeah, that’s very wrong.)
No screaming and crying at mine, but one of the kids was restless and was up and down a lot, just being a general distraction (they were in the row in front of me). The kid was about 3 or 4. I can’t imagine he was having much fun at the movie so I don’t really blame him. It was the parents who were irresponsible twits…
Yeah, this played before my screening of Logan last night too. Which reminds me: someone brought their three little kids . . . to Logan. People.
Katherine, you use ‘creepy’ far too often to describe things you don’t like, and it’s getting, um . . . what’s the word I’m looking for? Oh yeah: creepy.
I say that Silent Hill—the first one, not the shitty sequel—is an underrated film. I’m not saying it’s a masterpiece by any means, but as a horror film, it’s pretty solid. Maybe it helps that I have never played any of the games and went into it entirely without expectations, but I still think it holds up very well. …
Quinn, huh? Oh man, so close to Flynn . . . I do like the Highlander theme though. Lots of great pet names in that series.
