Thank you so much for mentioning this. I absolutely LOVE this car's design. And agreed that it's underrated especially compared to the GTS (which I don't care for as much). I think this was pretty much my favorite sports car in the nineties (until the 996 Turbo and 360 Modena came along).

I've similarly doubted GM's test cars. Can anyone shed some light on this? I may be paranoid though. Remember the infamous GTO? But that was a loooong time ago. Recently though, Edmunds did a test of the Corvette ZR1 versus SRT Viper. Customer ZR1's dyno at something like 617 RWHP, and this particular example was in

If anything, people (presumably GM fans) are more vocal about how Cadillacs "spank their German competition" and not the other way round, as if this a requisite for anything Cadillac-related and is something that HAS to be mentioned in every conversation, warranted or not. This is just my observation by the way.

Holy cow, that is awful! I don't think we'll ever see PGR again. The arcade racing genre is dead.

"(The 7 speed AMG auto is outdated by several years compared to anything from M division/RS/V)"

I would put my money on the C63 and ATS-V as well. BMW's M has other priorities these days. As a side question, how did the M4 go from an estimated 3300 lb to 3600 lb?

The only derived cues on the LX Charger appear to be the C-pillar and rear haunches. They should have put the concept on the road without changing a single thing.

What's wrong with it?

I hope it's not evolutionary. I'll be really happy if they could come up with something like this:

It looks dated. Though I'll admit the Virage looks good (especially in orange and blue).

Too bad the older Beetle Dune looks much better and more purposeful. It also has meatier tires and 4Motion.

New F-150.

This commercial is so fucking stupid. Way to ask very specific questions:
"Which one of you offers a center console that looks like it was inspired by a suspension bridge?"

Yes? Apart from being FWD, they are no-compromise track cars, if that was the point you were trying to make.

I swear. Can no one purchase these cars from dealers and verify manufacturer claims?

Yes, it's actually GM (and Nissan) that has started this obsession over Ring lap times.

To reply to your edited post: the RS 265 Trophy, which beat the RS R26.R's record, and the Cobalt's lap by 14 seconds, was not stripped out at all. I'm not going to generalize (or jump to conclusions based on one test), but judging from a comparison between the Renault and Seat I came across on YouTube, the regular RS

It's certainly fair. There aren't any rules. At the end of the day, it's up to the consumers to decide if they want a stripped-out car without air conditioning or not.

It's street-legal and available for purchase to the general public. How are they ringers when they're stripped-out, no compromise track cars?

I don't like how they spelled 'E-S-Q' across the grille where an Infiniti badge should have been instead.
