Star for Good Eats.

I’m rewatching Good Eats, since I watched the Reloaded ones and realized there were a bunch I didn’t catch.

Just started the new season of The Chef Show. I love the combination of Roy Choi (been going to Kogi for over a decade) and Jon Favreau. Jon has a genuine love of cooking and learning, and Roy seems like both an excellent teacher, and cool as fuck to hang out with.

I started watching Kidding- its the saddest, but most entertaining show with puppets I can think of. And I get at least two genuine laughs out of each half hour. 

Oh cake, you always know just what to say in times of need.

You can say what you want about people paying $50 for a cake that serves between two and four people, but here is an example of a business identifying and then fulfilling a need.

I had this bizarre dream last night (it was one of those complicated, multi-layered dreams (pun intended)) where there was a party on a secret floor of this building and the guests were all bringing fancy chocolate cakes.  Sadly for me, I was trying to reach another floor of the building and couldn’t join them.

I’ll admit I stocked up on eggs (~8 dozen?) but then again my wife and I eat somewhere around 7 eggs per day so that’ll last us a grand total of about 2 weeks. We bought a number of these things but, in our defense, we would have bought them anyway just probably less.  Rice, beans, and good seasoning mix will go a long way and can come in may varieties.
