We can call it “baroque nouveau” instead of “gaudy AF” to make it sound fancy

Yeah... The big 3 will NEVER get off their asses and start innovating. Too focused on shareholder value and cost cutting to put out competitive products. Just look at how they dragged their feet for the past 40+ years and lost market share against the imports lol.
Regarding the trunk, you can stop it manually with your hand. You can even hold down the trunk close button and it will save that height as the max height to open, so from then on you can just pop it and it will know not to open any further. Unfortunately I don’t think that feature is geo-located, but I imagine…
This is where Tesla wins, route planning and superchargers are reliable. I drove to Twin Falls, Idaho without issue. In a CCS car it would have been a chore. We need a lot of infrastructure improvement still. There are rural trips that are still not possiblemeven in California. Most drivers overthink it and a BEV…
Add in tax based on weight and we’re getting somewhere...
I mean, we were headed that way before these rules.
Honestly just making light trucks subject to the same standards as passenger cars would be a major win
For Cars there will be a massive crack down on buning dinos.
For light trucks there will be a minor crack down
For heavy trucks, there will be nothing much

Still only like the id3
On the flip side, you can easily argue USA is ideal for EVs, given more than half of homes have a garage or carport, which not anywhere near true in many countries.
Can you imagine if we’d had your attitude back at the introduction of the internal combustion engine? If everyone said they were a “bad value proposition” (whatever that means) because we already had horse feeding troughs and people who cleared the sh*t from our streets?
Our transition to EV’s is infinitely easier,…
I currently live in Germany of all places, and even here I see more Renault Zoes than VW ID3/4 vehicles.
Interesting take. We lease a Y. Its a great little car. Support from Tesla has been better than we’ve had from other US auto makers, even though we live in rural America with no Tesla support nearby (7 hours away in Denver). But we haven’t needed much, it was delivered without any flaws. My only issue is that they…
I own a 2020 Model 3 that I bought in December 2019. I had my first real problem last Sunday where the backup cameras would not work.
Elon being an idiot on twitter aside, I’ve never had an issue with service/support from Tesla. I could be lucky - of course - but I wouldn’t let twitter antics stop you from comparing their vehicles.
Tesla ends up doing the most deliveries in every market in the last month of a quarter. Every quarter has been the same for years.
