Pretty much the C5s had the exact same radio i have in my 98 and along with other interior bits.

Which means you can remember a time when blue collar workers could be newly monied.

I would say the v8 model would be a poor man’s Vette. This is just a poor man’s car.

These were definitely poor man’s Corvettes, too, right?

The interiors on these were SO bleak. Just an awful place to sit. Besides that, the ad is suspiciously light on details. No Dice.

Also I think they look dumb (I know that’s kind of subjective, but there’s nothing cute about your cheeks smashed into a helmet).

Not to mention all the comfort it guarantees.
Stones, bugs, mud, rain, and all kinds of road debris from hitting your face.

bass-boat flake three-quarter helmet

This feels like a bad hot take. I watched the race, and at the time, I don’t think anyone thought it was going to get as bad as it did and at the time staying out seemed like the right call. One corner of the track being slippery and the majority of the rest of the track being dry isn’t a reason to switch to inters

I’ve never been in one but I understood the first gen Prius to be nicer inside but it just looked too much like its econobox stablemate Corolla. No?

Never take your helmet advice from Bradley.

Is it that hard to make some attractive wheels, GM? I know looks are subjective, but I can’t get into either of those wheel options. I’d love to see a throwback wheel option, maybe an updated C4 wheel style - the ones that look like they have turbofan covers on them.

I see your points, and understand - I guess it’s personal preference (although I still stand by the hard angular look of the 348 eventually aging better than the softer lines of the 355.) The softening of the Ferrari just doesn’t do it for me (nor does the general design language and jellybean look of a lot of 90s

Counter-Point: The 355 could barely keep up with an H1 on a street circuit.

I’m not sure if this was an improvement! The 348 still had the classic “wedge” shape with the cool tail lamp louvres and the straked air intakes. The 355 was a good Ferrari, but it fell into the 90s trap of overly soft and bubbly designs. The tail lights on the 355 are also objectively bad.

If we’re going for “boring” cars, I’d nominate the Prius Gen 1 to Gen 2. Went from a horrible econobox to one of the most popular compact cars on the market. Brought hybrids to the masses.

The mkIV Golf GTI to the mkV.

It’s what the 911 used to be - lightweight, pure, all about balance. The 911 is a baby super car now. The Cayman is the true spiritual successor.

boxster and cayman look better than the 911 with the exception of the absolute most recent. Compare them by price and the cayman wins hands down on looks and interior compared to an old 911

Correct opinion. Better driving car too, since the engine is in the correct position.
