The right answer here is a Porsche Cayman. It’s quick, usable year round, and what’s more special than a Porsche? It’ll be newer and less hassle than whatever 911 you can get for the same money. Here’s one in Florida for $53k with only 30k miles. Barely broken in.

The Audi is by far the sharpest luxury electric car right now, even better than the Porsche.

The main problem with this car is that other luxury flagship electrics like this exist:

Whoa! Invoking Hulk Hogan? That’s pretty ballsy for a website that used to be associated with Gawker.

“That’s not a real Mustang - back when I was tuning my Fox Body ‘stang, I had to drive into crowds myself, I didn’t have any fancy self-driving autonomous pedestrian assault feature.”

Maybe the Mach-E will finally be considered a real mustang when it gets this feature

Something something Mustang, cars and coffee, pedestrians

Back in the ol' hotrodding days of the 70s/early 80s, we solved the stalling issue with installation of an MSD (multiple spark discharge) ignition.  In addition to making it much harder to stall the engine, you could open up the spark plug gap to .050 or so, and pick up a little fuel economy.

“Only 520 miles? Needs to be 1,000. If it were 1,000, I’d buy one tomorrow.

Right? I don’t remember the last time I stalled my car (probably when I wasn’t paying attention), but it’s a nice feature, especially if you know how to drive a manual but don’t own one. Stalling in the middle of Paris or London can be stressful.

This EV won’t work for me because the commute to my job is 20 miles each way and once I get there they don’t give me enough money to buy this car.

I’ll be patiently waiting in the comments for someone to come say how this EV won’t work for them because their commute is 600 miles each way in the snow towing a 12,000lb trailer.

If the police ever want to interview you for something where there’s even the remotest chance you could be a suspect, you need to lawyer up. Cops are interested in clearing cases and naming suspects for DA”s to charge, not necessarily in getting to the truth.

The GR Yaris has this too. I thought it was a very nice touch.

“and lawyered up right away”

Yes, it is terrible when people have the nerve to exercise their Constitutional rights and it clearly means they are guilty rather than following their attorney’s advice.

I rented a dirt cheap Peugeot last time I was in Switzerland and it had a great little feature that wouldn’t let you stall. If it sensed it was about to stall it would  engage the clutch automatically and auto stop the engine. Not sure of the mechanics behind it, but was a great feature.

“Rebuilt” = “I blew up the engine once” maybe? Wouldn’t be the first time in a fox body...

As would I. In fact, I would do so while rolling around town blasting Freebird from the 8-track and hitting on all the honeys on CB channel 19.

Stock, no it shouldn’t, but who knows what was done when it was “rebuilt”. That said, mine with 150k on it needs 89 or 91 even stock to avoid pinging.
