590 foot-lubs

This feels kinda weird and creepy. Just as it would if we rated the women’s soccer team, from a guy’s perspective.

I was on the wait list for the Metacycle from quite early on, but I recently decided to drop. I’m fairly certain I never would have actually gotten it. They seemed pretty eager to refund me, so I think they’re probably having serious production issues.

A sedan, believed to be a Nissan Altima

Finally, a nuanced take. Amen.

$37k for a 911 is actually a pretty decent price. I was shopping around for a 997 911 a few years ago, and these 996s were already on the upswing, so it’s not surprising to see them getting up there in cost. That’s pretty reasonable! What a fun thing to do. Maybe a FormulaDank sponsorship on it. Or a Jalopnik GOLD one.

I’m sure their label probably has plenty of money, so they can afford something like this, but I would love to get an idea of how much a sponsorship like this would cost. Could some of us get together and buy a sponsorship? Are we talking 5 figures? 6 figures? Could we use it to troll someone?

My bad - I misread the comment as remote start. I’ve definitely driven manual with keyless ignition, you’re right.

It’s technically impossible, as you need to engage the clutch to start the car. Would be cool if the computer could engage the clutch for you!

Missed this part of my morning ritual. Glad to have you back, Rob!

Yes! More power to them. I won’t be coming back to give them any more ad revenue.

Uhhh...is something up with Jalopnik? No posts this morning? No NPOND? No QOTD?

This is actually really important. “The Ukraine” refers to what the USSR and Russia called that part of their empire. Ukraine is the country as it exists today.

Man, poor Mazepin just can’t catch a break. Or any other car in front of him, really.
