Obviously ICE cars that have sat around a lot need a lot of parts replaced, but how does that effect BEVs? Do the batteries degrade even though they haven’t been cycling through? Are there any other major parts that need to be replaced before being able to drive something like this?

Rory: The world is awful and selfish and it’s all on fire and cars and the rich are destroying the world.

More like going out with a sad, indifferent trombone.

I feel sorry for you, Rory. I’m not sure what kind of person can get behind the wheel of a beautifully crafted automobile, that some of the best engineers in the world have spent years building, and have absolutely nothing to say about the car.

More of this content please!

They’ve been doing this at several stations in London for over a decade. I’m shocked New York never followed their lead. It’s sad that it takes an innocent person dying to make changes that should’ve been implemented already.

MR2IATA....

I would LOVE to ban cars in city centers. I lived big chunks of my life in Europe. It’s great. What I can guarantee you would happen is they would ban cars and do absolutely nothing to augment or fix the absolutely broken transit we have here in DC. I didn’t have a car here for 6 years and eventually the transit

Sure, but that’s exactly my point. If this is the typical time it takes to get across the city for a casual dinner, what on earth makes you think that I’d stand for this when it comes to getting to work, when I have to actually get there on time? When I lived in NYC and needed to be somewhere exactly on time I’d take

I am a pretty serious cyclist - I compete in crits around here - and I shudder at the thought of constantly biking across the city. I’ve been hospitalized twice after being hit by cars. And also (quick lesson in DC driving) it’s already faster to just take 395 to Virginia and come back up into Georgetown across the

I live in a pretty transit-oriented city, DC. I live in Capitol Hill (on the east side of the city) and I needed to get to Georgetown yesterday (far west side of the city). Here were my options for travel (keep in mind, DC has one of the most robust public transit systems in the US.)

Both on the same day?? Jason and David are the only two writers left here that truly embody the spirit of the old Jalopnik. The silly Torchinsky Time articles, paired with the true wrenching adventures of car lover, David. It’s going to be a tall order filling their shoes (nobody will be able to.) Honestly, I’m not

Regardless of how reliable your car is or how good you are at roadside fixes, a AAA membership is the best car accessory.

THIS makes a lot of sense to me. I’ve nearly been struck by an electric car in a parking lot because I just couldn’t hear it and was trying to wrangle several bags of groceries. A large fart would have made me look up, but not assume it was a car. Just a giant asshole, which…I guess is also correct.

Maybe I’m not understanding, but what exactly is the issue? Is it that the PWS coming out of the speakers is too loud? Or that the boombox drowns out the PWS? If the boombox is something that can play loud music to the outside world while the car is driving, then I would kindly like to stop my subscription to society

Is that what these are going for these days? I have a Turbo SW20 I bought a few years ago on BaT for about $7k and completely restored. Love the car and would probably never sell it, but christ on a cracker...if the Spyders are going for this much, how much do I have sitting in front of my house?

Sorry, not interested. It doesn’t recharge in 5 minutes and it won’t work for my 600 mile daily round trip through freezing cold temps.

The look of the transformed Viper (the Nardo-grey looking paint and the two fangs) was pretty cool. Especially those fangs.

I actually think this Lexus was kind of cool - it was interesting and actually kind of good looking.

Whoa whoa whoa, don’t besmirch Viper.
