I think this is apretty common thing in states that require front plates, especially on sportier cars. I see them all the time here and in VA. Doesn’t look that bad, in my opinion, although I guess I’m used to it having living here most of my life. Most common on WRXs, STIs, Evos, and Audis with big front grills.

I’m just REALLY careful driving around DC. Been here so long I’ve memorized the potholes to the point where driving around them is muscle memory. Not sure if that says more about my driving abilities or the inability of DC to fix potholes.

Good for you! It’s always great seeing jalops helping other jalops.

Beautiful! We call that patina.

Good call, gotta space out the work so it lasts. I clay bar’d mine about a month ago, makes a real difference, especially with older paint.

There she is, in all her manual, turbocharged, wagon-y glory. Anybody else getting on the obsessive car washing train?

Neutral: washing my car, ad nauseam. I’ve cleaned every nook and cranny and polished every square inch of my car after every single instance of rain or weather (which we’ve gotten a lot of in DC, lately). Just plug in the headphones, turn on some music, and turn off my mind to everything that’s happening for even a

Get sick and die to own the libs.

I don’t see any other options - they’re not going to discount it from the factory just because there’s a temporary (albeit steep) downturn in the economy. If it ends up not selling in droves, I’m sure we’ll see discounts and incentives.

We need more of this restrained design language across the board. Less angry polygons, more streamlined, subdued lines. Just a hint of red on the brake calipers, and an extra set of poo-chutes.

This feels like a brutalist take on an S Class. In a very good way.

I think starting with the 911 Turbo, definitely. The Turbo S is faster around the ‘ring than the Huracan, so I think it earns its place in the supercar category.

And because of that, the XJ220 became a wild twin-turbo with Group B derived engine that sounded fantastic and was ahead of its time! British backyard shed engineering at its best.

Yes! Amen. Also has the same visual balance between front and back, and I think it looks fantastic.

The Jaguar XJ220 would like a word...unless you don’t think it’s a supercar.

Counterpoint: it doesn’t.

Oh totally, but how will people know that I’m a Serious Car Enthusiast if I don’t have summer tires on my Compact Manual German Sports Wagon.

Just use one of these and you’ll be fine. Gotta make sure you’re not more than .01 off, though.

Yes! Amen. It’s always a crapshoot here in the DMV. If I lived in Kentucky I’d probably just keep the summers on there and not drive around during ice/snow.
