Anyone else get back handed by Isaias ? We’ve had an interesting week here. So far we dealt with a hurricane, a tornado warning (twice), multiple severe thunderstorms (always at bedtime, of course) and long extended periods with no power multiple times. The good news is before all the crappy weather began, we managed

Ug. I hope you feel better soon. And that last line made me snort. Yes Ashley. Yes he does.

Ug. Mice are the worst. I had one get into the house last year and the dog killed it. Left it on the floor for us to come home to find. Except the tiny human found it first and kept yelling “Ouse” over and over. So much fun.

Yes you gotta know the year round local spots. When it’s the dead of winter, I always joke it’s like being in some kinda of zombie movie as there is just literally no one around on the island at certain points. It’s also kinda eerie when you get fog on the beach. We’ve had that quite a few mornings lately and it’s

Aw. TY Tino. I was blessed to have that kind of relationship with my parents and have always wanted to pass that on.  Plus I love really being a hands on kinda parent as we waited forever to have the tiny human. And really I think I have as much fun as she does. I think it shows ;-)

I absolutely don’t blame you. We did swim classes with the tiny human in years past but opted out of it in March. I miss it terribly but don’t feel comfortable with that many people sharing water. I swim at the beach but always at the edges of the swim section as I’ll only have people on one side of me and I can swim

Sounds like a perfect day. I love all different seasons at the beach tho. Each one has their own joys. My favorite is local summer (September & Early October) when all the visitors are gone and the water is still warm.

I feel like I am just trying to soak up as many beach days as possible before the winter comes after these past few months

I have a 3 legged dog. It’s amazing how well animals adapt. I love all your shelter cat updates btw !

It’s definitely been my go to salad side dish the past few weeks ... husband has opted for blue cheese lately ( no oranges with that hahaha ) as he’s tired of it. But not me. LOL

I can commiserate on the pizza fail. We’ve had a few of those over the past few months trying our hands at making dough ourselves. It’s been comical as one even the dog wouldn’t eat. Lately I’ve been making a salad with a miso ginger dressing and occasionally add in mandarin oranges into it with the cucumbers and

Me too. Like I mentioned in my post above, I definitely keep an eye on the numbers locally. I’m in a seasonal ish area that has a huge influx of guests & residents during the warmer months. It would be very easy for our area to have a bad outbreak.

TY ! It’s the tiny human’s favorite one and honestly it really is just too cute like you said.

3 dozen-ish lifeguards tested positive for COVID this week in my area. Which honestly doesn’t surprise me as I was expecting something like this to happen as the summer progresses. It just is frustrating as we’ve had a relatively low case count compared to North Jersey until now. So I’m back to being VERY cautious

We (my husband and I ) are of that particular age group that got completely f’d over by the economy twice in one decade. I’m currently a SAHM as childcare is insanely expensive and I wasn’t handing over a good portion of our income to have someone else watch our kid. That and we waited soooo long to have kids. So I

That’s sounds like a very lovely meal. Congratulations on the upcoming move despite Panama being off the table. I wish you all the best with it.

Congratulations and all the best. It’s always wonderful when hearing that theses kinda things actually happen. Again, Congrats

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease about 15 years ago. So it’s kinda routine ATP but we’ve definitely scaled back in things that I used to feel comfortable doing.

YES !!!

Oh poor pupper !!! Why oh why do dogs go after the smelliest of smelly things. I’ve heard tomato juice/ sauce used for skunk attacks. Maybe it would work for clams ?
