I’m a vegetarian and it had never occurred to me to clarify whether or not fries are vegetarian at a restaurant. Although I don’t eat out too frequently anyways these days.

IS that a real thing? I always assumed it was just a thing people in TV shows did.
In Canada they are horribly sweet alcoholic beverages such as Smirnoff Ice, Bacardi Breezers and a variety of wine coolers. Basically, alcoholic juice for high school girls to get sick off of.
Normally I cannot tolerate any weed with alcohol but red wine is the exception. A few tokes before a glass of shiraz brings it to a whole other level of perfection for me!
I recently moved from a city in the southern interior of BC that had a population of about 120,000 people and about 10 Indian restaurants. I now live in a tiny town of 5000 people in the north/central part of the province and was so happy to discover that there is an Indian restaurant! The only other restaurants are…
I scrolled through a few pages of both of their Instagram feeds and couldn’t find a photo of either of them without sunglasses on. Is this weird? It is weird that it bothered me? Is this a thing among fashion bloggers? I do not follow fashion bloggers.
I’m not sure if they have it in the US, but Burger King in Canada has a veggie burger on the menu that I am obsessed with. It tastes just like a bad-for-you greasy fast food burger! I basically went my entire life avoiding Burger King cuz I thought it was gross until I discovered this gem. Lucky for my hips, I live…
Samosas are the bees knees! Truly, they are a gateway food as they are exactly how I got my hesitant husband to get on board for eating a whole meal of Indian food.
If you’re looking for tips, I’ve also found that the key to enjoying leafy greens is by making simple homemade salad dressings! I know not everyone loves eating salad but I swear this makes it 1000% more enjoyable. Store bought dressings taste like garbage to me now.
Avocado with a sprinkling of garlic powder and sea salt is also where it’s at!
Me too! It’s always people close to me who tell me they swear they saw me at a place where I was not at. Even my Dad (who lives in a different city), will text me occasionally to ask if I forgot to let him know I was visiting because he saw me (not me) someplace. Now it’s just sort of a running joke with my friends…
My husband’s parents live about a kilometre off of that highway about a 20 minute drive from the closest town. Last year we attended a wedding in the town and I overindulged a bit (okay a lot) in the table wine. Riding in the back seat of his parents car on the way back to their place, I started feeling super sick and…
If I got married in my early twenties I 100% would have changed my name. Growing up I was always self conscious about my last name. Role call in school always resulted in giggles or classmates cracking jokes cuz it is kind of a funny name. Half the appeal of getting married in my mind was that I could be rid of my…
