To me, it's just stupid insensitivity. Because even if the person who sent the tweet was only thinking "this is her most well known line from her most well known role," there IS baggage attached that white privilege lets white people ignore. I had to stop and think (as a white person trying to be a good ally) about

Absolutely true! And there are no cats in America and the streets are paved with cheese!

I went to all those hippy classes to and when it came time for my second all that went out the window. My little dude was a flipper, 40 weeks pregnant and he kept flipping, head up, head sideways, head down, head back up. So we had to schedule a c-section because he was sideways, which makes even a breech birth

So I went to one of those super hippy birth classes (for TEN weeks) and they were against everything that doctors normally advise. This would include not eating a lot as you're going into labor, or the day you're to be induced (of course they were against that as well). I ended up being induced at 42 weeks because

That is some righteous kindness on Taylor's part. Goddamn. Serving up love like it's cherry pie and making sure everybody gets a big ol' slice. Fuck me if that isn't lovely.

D'aww. I'm glad I clicked to reveal.

ETA I don't know why this is so big...

Not a puppy, but he's in a blanket...

Maybe they should try praying away the video.

Here's another I just read on the linked Reddit thread:

"I remember being a kid and we went to Disney for the first time with my parents and when we were walking in, looking at the Castle (Magic Kingdom?) straight on, I looked up at my Mom and she was bawling her eyes out like a little girl. (I was maybe 9)

Disney Princesses are so cool:

You know, I feel for many of the Disney princesses, and especially the Fairy Godmother. I heard from an article on Cracked that many sick kids will ask the Fairy Godmother to cure them. They also ask the Princesses to make them better.

Years ago, some kids in my neighborhood, a brother and sister, were playing hide and seek. They were about 8 and 9 years old. I was sitting outside with the kids' mom and some other neighbors as the brother came running by us, telling his mom not to tell his sister where he hid (behind a tree a few feet away). A

I would say I'm the color of the underside of a roast chicken.

I always fancied myself a "Clam Chowder"

You know Charlize, for all of that wisdom you've gained over the years I don't think you've quite grasped what it means for a flower's chances of long-term survival if it's in a vase.

This is such a great time to be pale, especially because white people have great new ways their coloring can be described, like "mozzarella undertones" or "exotic, mashed potato skin."

I gotta disagree, for little North's sake.

Awful, terrble news. He struggled with depression & addiction for years. More proof that mental illness does not discriminate. He had the world's adoration, a loving family & resources far beyond what the average person has and still lost the battle. I hope that someday we treat mental illness as the devastating thing
