That’s a shit reason to hate on a movie. Most movies stray from true history. Basterds just goes all the way and has fun with it. I don’t know anyone that claims it to be accurate in any way except maybe costumes and props and other small details.

I just meant amongst gawker commentariat. Every time he comes out with a movie it’s like a race to who can post the longest rant about his being unoriginal and derivative and how they are so over him.
