Man you’re jamming me...don’t do me like that.
Come back ya yeller...why you....shake harder boy!
I never got into the skinhead scene, mainly due to vanity. I was a metal guy initially and I looked like one of the guys from Metallica’s Kill ‘Em All album. And I could never see shaving my head.
Great question. Catholic here whose Mom converted to Judaism after she remarried, and I love Matzohs with Peanut Butter on top any time of the year. To me it’s sacridelicious.
Good point. There are some definite hijinks to it, including the banner at the end of the film...
Dick is a great film, although is it really a ‘teen movie’ film per se? There’s so much other stuff to that movie including a million great cameos and performances (Dave Foley as Haldeman is pretty awesome) and Dan Hedaya fucking owns that film as Nixon.
Why not the late 70's and base it around “Massacre at Central High” which Heathers liberally borrowed from?
I just completely ignore him or anything unrelated to their music. I remember getting Evillive, which is like a greatest hits basically, and wearing that tape out.
There’s definitely gold in that movie. For whatever reason I can watch the part where he’s at Seaworld and about to hang himself over and over as well.
You’re a year older (72) so I can only assume you’re inherently evil.
ALLEGEDLY it is. I dunno...as a teenager I thought it was great but it’s admittedly more troubling now.
Black Flag and the Pixies over Minor Threat for sure. Same for Descendents although I only had the one album everyone had.
I went to City Gardens once or twice for sure, and I think the Saint once as well. There was that real shithole in Boston “The Rat” too: I vividly remember going there a few times.
Congrats.
Madness had at least 3 US hits I can think of...
Over 40 here, and I saw it when I was over 15 and I loved it. I can only imagine your opinion on those crass and childish Mel Brooks films. People farting around a camp fire? Appalling.
I liked Anchorman 2 a ton as well. It needed better editing or just a stronger script (and I would have cut Kristen Wiig and Carell’s romance out all together) but there’s some great stuff in there.
I’m on board the Club Dread train. They got a lot of the horror tropes right and as noted above, Bill Paxton fucking kills it in that movie.
