People forget just how much fucking dialog (to say nothing of endless shots of people walking!) went into the original Grind House films. Even the truly great action ones had some moments of dullness: and I think Friedman said it best that nothing is cheaper to film then non-action dialog!

I saw it twice myself, and I fucking loved it. Fuck those people who fell asleep during Death Proof: it was actually the more authentic Grind House movie anyway.

To say nothing of “Angel’s Revenge” on MST3K...”No, I will NOT call you little buddy!”

You’re still pending but I do see it...and you’re right. I also lost a decade worth of comments from my original “Warren Oates” posts, and where I once upon a time had this site open all day at work I now find myself barely glancing at it. Shame what they did to this site. The sheer lack of posts in articles tells the

Nah, we won’t be doing that.

It’s cause you’re black...in all seriousness she can look a bit creepy with those eyes, but take it from this beyond the pale white guy: she’s definitely hot.

I don’t understand the post and I won’t respond to it...wait, I just did!

So...the AV Club has become a sort of shitty Sub-Reddit? Anyone else remember when you used to be able to read articles that posited something with actual weight behind it?

Wow, I remember when BJ Horseman would have a bare minimum of 100 comments. This new site and design are terrible: I have to think the numbers are dramatically down. I can say as someone who has been posting for years that I think this is the end for me.

No, you shut up!

I couldn’t get into Star vs The Forces of Evil, but my middle daughter likes it a ton.

Is it just me or is this site seeming to post a LOT more video then it used to? I liked coming on here for the reading aspect of it.

I’m in the minority apparently, but I will say that my daughters and I enjoyed it more then the first one. Although the soundtrack is not as good.

I also love Teen Titans GO! and think it’s pretty funny. My older two daughters got me into it, and Robin as an OCD lunatic is priceless. I’d also add an all time great episode is when they decide to become villains because villains get to have way, way more fun. “DICK GRAVESTONE” as Robin’s villain name is great.

Would he end up having the luggage follow him into the cowards version of the hereafter? Man did I love his character.

I also loved his writing: to me, it’s the fuzzy sweater equivalent of books, perfect at any time, cheers me up when I’m in a shit mood...he is sorely missed and your words of praise almost made me well up. Between losing him and Elmore Leonard recently, I’ve really lost some of my favorite authors.

As you posted that all I can think of is “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back’ and how Jason Biggs will always be the ‘pie fucker’

This film was my introduction to horror: I saw this in the very late 70's at a way too young age on the first VCR I ever laid eyes on. It kind of changed my life, as cliche as that sounds. Even though it scared the fuck out of me and I had nightmares, I must have watched it a 1000 times. It started my ‘journey’ into

This is fucking terrible. I hate to say this as someone who survived when they went to Discus, but this is even fucking worse. Fuck this.

Motivation is best when it's to prove someone wrong. I started two months ago after a woman (randomly, and rather meanly I thought) elbowed me aside and called me 'Fatso'. I'm not morbidly obese, but I could stand to lose a good 40 pounds. So for the last two months I've been eating right and exercising (P90X3 in the
