I liked Redshirts but couldn't get into any of his other stuff. I started the first book of the Old Man's War series and only got about 30 pages in before I was bored to tears. Go figure.

Yes! The fight in the hallway before he SPOILERS saves the kidnapped kid ENDSPOILERS was awesome!
It's a book, by John Scalzi. Oh, and definitely Star Trek references. it was pretty good, you should read it (if only to add 1 person to my "actually read this book after my recommendation" list).
That's awesome about the A! (and also beer & naps are good too ;D)

Fortitude, The Americans, The Leftovers, Mr. Robot. The Martian audiobook.
Awesome!
Finished The Clan of the Cave Bear, I was closer to the end of the book than I thought. On reading other comments here last week started The Lost Continent, but not too far into it, only 30 or so pages. This time of year makes me want to reread Lamb but I can't find my paperback so that makes me sad.
I have a hard time with "literature" but want to read this. The language is just too much, I have to actually concentrate when I read (boo who wants that!)
